Okay when I was young all I watched was Pokemon but then I stopped when I was like 6 or 7. After a few years I guess I watched Cardcaptor Sakura and I was back on the road of anime

I've actually started recently again due to Shingeki no Kyojin. I know, funny. At Least, I think so due to it's mass popularity. But since I've been catching up on tons of anime that I didn't get a chance to view over my middle school years. It actually feels weird watching anime in high school since I know I gotta study and all of that.

I was the same way, watching Pokemon/Yugioh/Digimon when I was little. Then my interest faded. Witchblade got me back into anime a few years ago and it was just the right about of breasts and craziness to lure me back into anime.

When I was around...13, I'd stopped watching anime almost completely for about a year, but then I watched Death Note. It made me realize just how amazing anime could be, and I've been digging around for the good stuff ever since.

Hmm. When toonami went off TV, I couldn't really watch any anime. I saw a few Hayao Miyazaki movies and my anime interest returned for a while. Then we switched cable companies and I was able to see Fruits Basket. But I think what really got me back into anime full throttle was code geass.

When I was 4~~10(?) I've been watching Pokemon/Digimon/DBZ/Castle in the Sky/(?) movies before going back to pure gaming. Then I got my hands on the internet at age 12 and DNAngel/Chobits brought me back.

Fullmetal Alchemist. Before that I assumed all anime was just perverted, cliché junk. That still holds some truth, but because of Fullmetal I still look for really good ones.

I believe that I discontinued watching anime for several years after several disappointments following the first two seasons of Higurashi (other anime weren't living up to the composition, mood, violence, plot, and use of sound.)

I reconvened with Puella Magi Madoka Magica and And Yet Town Moves.

Thankfully shows such as Steins;Gate and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure have shown up to give me a little bit of hope for interesting animation outside of the realm of Shaft.

Attack on Titan also managed to prove that something that isn't downright boring and devoid of personality can be made by Production I.G. (which I never thought possible after many stale titles were released by them in recent years. Their technological improvements in the production of animation can be interesting, but their execution within animation is often lacking.)

Really, if "story," "plot," or "appealing design" is the reason to watch an anime (as is often the case,) it's much easier to look up a plot summary (or "plot" summary for those that are into that) or get the manga or novels. The internet makes these things far easier to import from the publishers as well.

When I first started anime, it was really childish shows like pokemon (When it was good) and yu-gi-oh, etc. Kinda stopped for like 5 - 10 years and my friend told me about Sword Art Online. Kinda got myself hooked since I'm an avid MMORPG player and the concept of being trapped in a game just gave me goose bumps (the good kind). Then I took off from there and started watching anime again.
