I don't think I've ever stopped watching anime. I think perhaps there may have been some seasons when nothing at all has interested me. I think one of the last anime I truely loved was Fruits Basket and after several seasons of mediocre anime and nothing capturing my heart, Lovely Complex appeared and my hope in anime was restored again.

I forgot I made a account here and so I made a new account because I forgot my password. I remember seeing this awesome AMV for Sword Art Online so I watched it and sooner or later I got back into it.

I don't really feel that I left anime, It was just Adult Swim never showing it and Toonami getting pulled, and at the time I was lacking internet. So there was a four year dead zone of my life spent outdoors and socializing when I didn't have anime. Then, about six years ago I saw The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and It's been the Otaku Train ever since!

Also, as a side note, If you like Strawberry Panic, take a look at Kashimashi Girl meets Girl, it's a really good yuri anime!

I'd have to say Squid Girl (followed shortly by School Rumble, which cemented my love). I randomly stumbled on it on Hulu, I think, and my love for anime hasn't dwindled since. At the time I thought Squid Girl was just about the funniest thing possible, but then I started watching more anime. Squid girl is great, but I've seen better comedy since then.

Im possibly older then most here at the tender age of 32. So back when i started watching Anmie it was shows like Tenchi Muyo, Cowboy Beebop, Cyber City Oedo 808, Crying freeman The Guyver. We had some great series way back when I remember Appleseed starting and Doomed Megalopolis still one of my all time faves. Enough reminiscing the anime that got me back into it was Death Note I was given a copy by a mate and I haven't looked back since

I didn't know what anime was until I was like 20 years old or more, and since then I've pretty much watched it non stop.
Of course I have my times where I don't feel like watching mostly no anime, like these days.
It's summer now, and most of the animes that is airing these days suck.
Free is great though xD

I don't really ever stop watching anime completely. I have been on short hiatus sessions in the past but never truly long periods of time away from anime

Kaze no Stigma (English dub in Netflix). I thought the actor who did Kazuma's (male protag) dub was great. Nailed Kazama's wounded, angsty and sarcastic personality. Saw both versions (dub/sub), still prefer the dub even when I usually watch subs. Never enjoyed a dub so much since Fruits Basket.

I did have an experience like that! I was re-introduced to anime by deviantArt, actually, and so I watched Lucky Star. It was the first anime I watched after Pokémon when I was a kid. I got a bit little hooked after that.

Naruto Shippuden (I loved Naruto/still love Naruto), Death Note, and Hikaru no Go were the first shows I watched when I got back into anime. After that I found more great shows like Gintama (I used to read the manga) and Nabari no Ou.
