I have to wonder if they'll ever bring up Yura's daydreaming/reality warping again? I mean I still enjoy C3, quite a bit even, but that had real potential(I mean, unless I am misunderstanding things, she freaking altered history itself!). Plus I just don't like it when any kind of show, anime or otherwise, drops plot points like that.

Not only that, but the series has a pretty drastic shift in tone over the course of it. The first half of the series feels completely different from the second half. Like I said I still like it, just C3 kinda has an identity issue to me(interestingly enough, kinda like Yura has right now).

I do think at least the daydreaming will come into play again, that is unless Gainax goes for a depressing ending/I have no idea whats going on the end of all existence ending.

I think her daydreaming stopped right around where they were trying to tell us storywise she wasn't having fun anymore and was only focusing on winning. If Gainax does allow a happy ending, I figure there might be a daydream in episode 11 if the angst is resolved, and certainly 12.

It is kinda sad how we are expecting a messed up/weird ending simply cause it is Gainax.

Man, I can't believe I put off watching episode 10 for a day. What an amazing episode! Kind of surprised at what happened though.

It doesn't really matter where you're from it was just bad sportsmanship. It's just a game at the end of the day.

As for "why" Yura joined C3...? You're completely making assumptions. Did you forget that they basically forced her to join? That they followed her around daily, begged, and tried all sorts of things to make her join? When she finally agreed to let it happen, she started off as a major thorn for the team and only really started getting good when faced with defeat as a motivation first.

Wanting to have fun and wanting to be good are not two mutually exclusive goals, they often go hand in hand in fact. At first she was being demonized for wanting to be good even though she was still having fun by Sono, and because of that she went to Rin's team in an effort to see if her talents were wanted because Rin herself said that winning is all that matters. She out performs Rin and her entire team, and gets demonized for being skilled, which makes Rin a gigantic hypocrite (as Yura pointed out), with Rin's only excuse being "You just want to be noticed and push yourself on other people".

What the hell is she supposed to think?

Between Sonora and Rin's "advice", she can basically only get along with either team if she A. settles for mediocrity as long as it's "fun", or B. throttles her own skill level so as not to draw attention to how good she is. Neither of these make any freaking lick of sense.

I don't often take this stance, but Yura to me is the only sane person in this show, to me.

She should just start her own team, founded on her own ideals and initialized under her leadership and skills she would just destroy everyone else's team. Then what would they say? Oh, you're not having fun! Oh you just want people to notice you! So what? My team just kicked your teams ass. So there.

Yura making her own kick ass team I can definitely agree with!

Not going to happen, because these shows are predictable. The title is always the biggest spoiler which means she will be welcomed back to Stella Women's Academy C3 bu with open arms and she will learn to both have fun and play hard with good sportsmanship again. Welcome back, happy smiling Yura! We missed ya!

I like Girls und Panzer, Strike Witches, Vividred and basically any show that has cute girls and cool action scenes. But this is quite literally one of the worst anime I have ever watched. Without even realising it I'd started crying about halfway through the episode. No, it wasn't because I sympathise with Yura. She can choke to death with BB bullets shoved down her throat for all I care. But because I've literally never been so disappointed in my life. It's really depressing.

I loved the first few episodes, but episode 10 alone is enough to make me want to give the show as a whole a 1/10.

Well that's a bit...much...

Can you elaborate a bit more on why you feel the way you do?

The last chapter was the one I like so far, because there was felt the intensity of the show. Please, it's a Gainax show. Now wait for a dramatic ending or a happy ending.

I kind of feel like this right now, it's not the worst anime but its "meh" at this point. Something about the characters just rub me the wrong way.

It will either just be a standard accepted back into C3 ending, or her depression and imagination power will unmake the world, leaving her the only what left in a featureless empty existence, alone forever alone in her depression. Afterwords.....cue in happy go lucky ending music, COMMADO!

Dark and angst has no place in a show about little girls playing with toy guns. Especially when it's not very well done in any regard and isn't even in the source material. I've used the term 'incompetent' to describe Gainax before, but if they think forced drama is a necessary step when making a show like this they really must have no clue what they're doing. I can't help but be reminded exactly why Gainax are no longer relevant nowadays.

The in the new world created out of Yura's angst, no one will remember that she ever existed, but Sonora will be holding the gun she gave her and wonder, "Why do I get the feeling that there was an airsoft player named Yura that used this gun?" Then Yura will appear in a ghostly form, with a towel strategically covering her breasts...

Cue the movie...

EDIT: On a more serious note, I didn't like what they were doing with Yura's character at first, but I see it as consistent with the sense of sadness and hopelessness she had at the beginning. She is a girl with practically no self-esteem, desperately trying to re-invent herself. When she thought she had found a place to fit in and got serious about it, she found herself being pushed away by the members of the club because they didn't like the way she was doing things, confirming her previous lack of self-esteem as being the correct assessment, so she took her new found enthusiasm and tried to find a place where she would fit in and be accepted, only to find that Rin would not accept her either. Now she is back to the pathetic, sad, lonely girl that she started out as, with no self-esteem and an even worse feeling of self-pity, and a worse haircut...
