yeah i like the comedic side of oreimo thats why i would watch but then things starting getting pretty dramatic and once again brother sister thing creeps me out and triple baka that "accident" is one of the most cliche scenes ive ever scene so yeah it didnt have to be in the anime at all but yeah i just dont like it its my opinion the fact that it was ok to do that back then is none of my concern and i dont care. im just stating my opinion. honestly i dont mind watching animes like that until it gets sexual and serious and dramatic and weird. i know it was made for a good plot i guess but id much rather see kyousuke and kirino fighting than making out if your ok with a sexual relationship between brother and sister in anime thats cool and in yosuga no sora they were related and had sex so yeah. not the best experience
id much rather see them fighting but secretly liking each other than seeing them make out

Since she was asking for it, it was the only reasonable thing for Koyomi to have done in that situation

Well in regards to the genre, I don't really mind it as long as there isn't too much of the theme as in every 5 minutes of an episode.

Awww. You changed you avatar. You could've been one of the cool guys who can still have them long ones. "SAD_LAWL"

As for OREIMO, I have yet to watch the second season. I'll probably start watching that this month.

I just like it because Kirino is such a bitcharony. "LAWL"

Personally, I don't have too much of a problem with brother/sisterly love in anime, as long as it's more of like a parody and not taken super seriously, kinda like with Oreimo. But if characters do start to get serious about their love for each other, then yes, I do find it disturbing and bothersome, as it's something I just can't really approve of in real life or any entertainment medium (such as anime/videogames/etc.).

Even though that's not the picture that's actually on his cell phone (from what I remember), I still found that particular scene amusing & creepy at the same time. There's more specific things that Kyousuke does in the 2nd season that make me go , but I won't mention them since I don't want to spoil it for u and those that haven't seen it yet.

The thing about anime is that it can utilize a taboo relationship (like brother-sister) in a way that makes people feel that- though it is not okay if it happened in reality, and it certainly wouldn't have the same appeal, having it used in a fiction-like manner actually creates a form of entertainment that can be accepted. The reason people don't like it too much is because they tend to be strictly influenced by the real world, thereby closing their hearts and minds to the world of fiction that, when thought about deep enough, is actually not nearly as bad as people think. Besides, in human history, pairing up with your own family was much more common than pairing up with someone your same gender, or with an extremely wide age gap, or other forms of "wrong" romance. In reality, reality is filled with brother-sister relationships that people never really think about. It is just another form of society deciding the universal laws for everyone without their consent.

Sorry didn't want to quote the whole thing, but I really enjoyed reading your post. It offers another perspective on a topic that a lot of people dismiss straight up without offering it a deeper thought.

I hang out at /AMP/ with all the sister lovers and such posting on the daily about OREIMO of which I conciously open the spoiler box. I got pretty much 75% story ruined for me, so it's cool. "LAWL"

I definitely don't like incest, but if they are not blood-related, I am ok. I do careful researches about the brother-sister shows before watching them. That's why I feel I have been tricked with Oremoi .

See, after watching Oreimo, you kind of get into this Oreimo-induced high where you think, "Hey, maybe all that isn't so bad after all." But there are plenty of much stupider animes that run on a similar premise that kind of bring it down a little bit.

One thing that always gives me peace is that I would think it was weird if I saw it in real life. It doesn't bother me too much in anime.

Well here’s my opinion. I don’t mind watching a series has a brocon/siscon elements in it, as long as the story is able to hit me. That's just me though.

I took the bait and looked it up on MAL (even though I had a pretty good idea of what it probably was), lol!

It seems that it's based on a visual novel (which I love playing btw, lol), that has a really good (and controversial) storyline, and that's all I'm gonna say 'bout it! xD
