12 and 12 actually! lol Glad we got 2 cours! Really love the anime and manga!
The first cour is only 11 episodes. Next episode is the last one for now. January is almost certainly the same, 11 episodes.

The wiki for the show shows 12 for each cour.

ANN and MAL say 11 episodes. First disc had only 1 episode. Disc 5 has episodes 8 and 9. This tells us that it has 11 episodes as disc 6 will likely have 2 episodes, 10 and 11. The title of episode 11 also sounds like a season ender, "Run towards the future, Hachiken!" But... I'm not actually sure where ANN and MAL have their source that it is only 11 episodes and only 6 discs. I suppose it is possible though highly unlikely that disc 6 could have 3 episodes on it. Or that there could be a disc 7 coming with 1 episode on it. I guess we shall find out who was right soon enough... Anichart also says 12 episodes but disc 6 with 3 episodes or discs 1 and 7 having 1 episode would be very weird... disc 7 with episode 12 and a bonus episode is possible I suppose but normally they would have announced something like that by now but with Aniplex's annoying disc by disc solicitation I suppose it is still possible however unlikely.

I'll just toss this link out there, too.. not sure where they source their info, and probably not authoritative, but it seems like they think it is 11 per season as well, since episode 12 shows as the start of season 2.

Aniplex is annoying this way. Silver Spoon has 5 discs listed so far, Monogatari SS has only 4 out of 12 and yet Freezing Vibration and Coppellion haven't aired yet for fall and yet all discs are already for sale! Why the mystery, Aniplex? Both their series will be 12 discs, very expensive too as most two cour series are only 7-9 discs with 3 episodes on most discs. Bodacious Space pirates has 4 per disc, 26 episodes on 7 discs, a great deal for an import compared to most. Silver Spoon if it has only 22 epidodes on 12 discs will be one of the most expensive next to Saki with their 4 one episode per disc OVAs.

I knew I was going to cry, but the tears wouldn't stop (pesky montage indeed)! Loved that episode. And glad to see Akage finally reciprocating Hachiken's feelings (maybe)????

Me too. This is why you shouldn't name your food. Still, it was great to see how hard Hachiken worked to honor Pork Bowl. Though I feel his friends were mooching a bit too much, he's such a generous person that it is hard to complain about him sharing his labors.

This is probably my favorite episode from this series so far.

Disc 6 just has episodes 10 and 11 so I'm afraid it is looking like today is the last episode unless something odd happens and they have a disc 7 with 1 episode on it...though I suppose disc 1 has 1 episode...

Great series overall and portrays a realist way of agriculture. Ah, taking steps on the farm sounds tough. I never grew up on a farm environment but this sure was a nice experience to get to know what life would be like. I think Hachiken learned a lot too! I'm also hoping the second half of this series delivers some romance between Aki and Hachiken.

Finale:

Overall: 8/10. (pretty good)

I hope for the romance thing to finally blossom too, but at the same time I really hope they don't go moe/harem with it...

If they keep the romance angles to just a small amount of characters I'll be fine.

Great end to the season, but I am glad there is another season cause that was somewhat lacking for a series finale(honestly last episode would have been a great series finale, imo, compared to this episode).

Great ending to the season. Just straight up great high quality stuff all the way through. It's gonna be a dog fight between this and The Eccentric Family for best slice of life, depending on how TEF ends.

Aki is romance flagging all over the place. I would really appreciate it if they got together BEFORE the end of the next cour, so we could see them as a couple for a little bit.

As for the discussions on whether or not this was the last episode of the season...early ED, and the "To Be Continued" showing up for the first time seems like a pretty final thing to me.

If Hachiken keeps making food, the whole freaking school is going to be his harem.

I enjoyed the series and look forward to next season.

Whenever I look at Tokiwa Keiji with his hair cut, I automatically see Connie Springer.
