Really love this series. Cleared 80% of the manga so far. I can see this show getting multiple seasons no doubt. A lot of good stuff to come! Seems to have a pretty popular manga run and the show is well received so far. The announcement of a live action film is also a good sign. Glad the second cour will be not to long after in Jan.

Episode 3

This series feels like Agriculture 101.

Aki's horse sure changed though..
The horse race was pretty decent though. I also liked the talk about the dreams ^^

Great episode. Also just wondering but has anyone actually wanted to be a vet before?

I dislike certain aspects of this show, it seems like they are advertising the worst ways to raise livestock. Efficiency farms too often sacrifice the health and well being of the animals to turn a profit. I am a vet-tech not a animal-rights nutter, so lets not mistake that though. The pig in the that little pen with the hard floor annoyed me more than the chickens being crammed in those wire cages. I worked in a dairy farm for a short time, but even though the cows were stuffed in a single barn with only a little bit of room between them, they at least had sand to stand on so they didnt get hoof conditions. There are better more humane ways to raise livestock than efficiency farms.

Still love the show, I just don't like what they are advertising.

Ep 3

Pretty so-so ep for me. But I did like the talk about having the resolve to struggle against reality; that was a good teaching moment, not just for the characters in the anime, but perhaps also for some of us that are watching this show.

Yeah, that's basically why I'm still watching this show, and it's not the kind u see very often either. But I do wonder how much of it is accurate, but I have a feeling most of it probably is. Like the stuff about the pigs' teets - that the ones closer to the chest produce more milk. (Without googling for the answer) I'm assuming that's accurate, since that would seem to make sense.

Episode 3:

Let us all offer our thanks to the many animals that have been a part of our meals. *not a joke or sarcasm and this was the only relatable screenshot I could take from this episode*

Well, I've spent many years on farms and around farmers, and I've yet to see anything that I know to be wrong. I'm getting the feeling that this shows was very well researched. In some ways, I wish I could get everybody who doesn't know the reality behind raising livestock to watch this show. There are way to many people who do not connect the dots between the animals raised on factory farms and the meat that is for sale in the grocery store.

Though, I do recall one thing that was a bit off. They roasted a chicken that was no longer producing eggs. You can do that, but the meat will be very tough. It is better to stew chickens that are that old.

The author is a farm child so most of it is based on personal experiences. Although i'm sure homework is done in order to make sure everything is correct.

Ep 3.

THE PIGLETS! Love this series.

I'm really shocked that the show is basically panel for panel the same as the manga. Scenes are identical in almost every way. Very happy to see that. Gonna be interesting to see where this season leaves off at

I think I was as disappointed as Hachiken that it wasn't a date! This episode wasn't as interesting for me though it had a few good moments. I was hoping for a chance at romance in the Golden Week with most of them having gone home but it seems romance isn't really part of the genre for this show. Or am I wrong? I am not reading the manga obviously so if you have a yea/nea romance spoiler, please let me know

So is this a regular kind of slice of life, or is it a crazy kind?

Slice of Life encounters of the agricultural kind. If you like nipples there were lots in episode 3... just sow nipples LOL And lots of discussion of sow nipples too LOL Last week it was cow teats... Lots of Farmservice! Harty, har har...

But really, the slice of life is good too, I like the characters. It has some comedy, relaxing moments, good life quotes.
