Well Season 2 is underway and well nothing amazing excpet why is Mikage crying...just leaves me (and i guess you) curious. The first season was a good watch and has its great moments so I can't wait to see those touching moments in this season and what can the season bring itself. If you are interested I did a first impressions on season 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJxlxhrvyfk
Has anyone read the manga by any chance, did season 1 follow it as it was a short series? No spoilers please just yes/no and if there are some subtle changes or big changes without spoiling please let me know :)
Thanks

My guess would be that one of Komada's herd contracted a disease, which meant the whole herd had to be put down, collapsing the farm in the process.

Exceptional. Dammit, this show is incredibly written.

The text from his mom, right into the thing with Mikage. /bows down in awe
And just after he had been told how she doesn't let people get too close...and the music stops when he sees her crying. And his clumsy attempt to ask her about what's wrong.

Go, Hachiken, go! You can break through the friend-zone barrier!

EDIT: Guess on the Mikage thing-something happened with Komaba's family/farm & she's crying for him, not for herself.

EDIT 2: I do think it is somewhat mean that Mikage and Komaba are keeping Hachiken out of the loop. He's done nothing to deserve the icing on the topic that they've given him & no matter what's up, it seemed to me that he's been a good enough friend to merit a little more trust than what they are giving him.

I think it is probably the opposite since he said he would pay his respects to her family at some point.

That's true, but this seems to involve both Mikage's and Komaba's families. In comparison, they hardly know Hachiken so it's not surprising he'd be kept out of a family incident.

I took it more of a "your family helped mine out, so I'm going to pay my respects." I guess if something had happened to her family, just saying, "I'll come pay my respects" actually seems a little cold to me.

I don't disagree, but isn't he's had significant contact with Mikage's family, as well as some contact with Komaba's. (But perhaps cultural differences??) And he's an important friend to both of them. The least they could do would be to just tell him that they don't want to talk about it with him, rather than just saying "It's got nothing to do with you." I guess it just seems mean to me...

It seems even more mean to the audience. If you aren't going to tell Hachiken, at least tell me!!!! Annoying...

A stray dog has been found inside a pile of trash. Who ever imagined that something like that would happen. Well, Hachiken is now a pet owner. And in the meantime, this is the one thing that separates the contenders from the pretenders when it comes to being a vet, having to stick an arm into its butt. It's a good thing that only a selected few have to do that kind of stuff, anyway. Pretty enjoyable episode this is.

Ep 2

Cute dog is cute.

Yeah, guess Hachiken's greatest strength and weakness is his kindness and willingness to jump in and help any one, even if he hurts himself. Guess that's where the show will focus on with his character growth.

Season 2, episode 2

Can I just say that the dog is awesome?

That was actually a pretty good idea to earn some cash with the snack box. Who can resist that cuteness?!
