Poor Hatchiken, dealing with his dad and older brother being mean to him. The highlights for me were that funny race. Especially with the brown mustached Alex Armstrong reincarnated teacher completely winning the race. Hatchiken's funny faces also made a return so that made me happy. Blond haired girl is still hilarious with her laugh. And more. Hatchiken and Aki hints. I hope the crew doesn't make old Hatchiken do all the manual labor again, and to see more horses and cow moments.

Season 2, episode 6

Another great episode. A lot of feels with a reunion with Hachiken's old man and whatnot. I'm getting annoyed by that Ayame girl though. I wonder we'll see her past soon.

I bet it will be like an 'oju-sama' sitting on her royal chair going "Oh ohohohoho"

I feel for Hatchiken. His dad was right about things but still a jerk!Maybe Hatchiken did feel like he was the smartest and was a wakeup call! I do have mixed thoughts about no one coming to see him but the Festival was important to all but still? But what saved Hatchiken was that one Guestbook entry saying Thank - You when that person was feeling down! The pototato bites were great no wasted food at all!

Hachiken's father is intimidating enough to make the man that shared to same hospital room with Hachiken uncomfortable.

Unfortunate, he misses the entire festival due to his friends and homeroom teacher doing the Japanese thing of not helping unless asked, letting him work himself to the point of exhaustion. And then he misses the second day due to pride and stupidity, having to walk back from the optometrist. His friends did what they thought he wanted and ran the festival for him which is nice but... as a viewer I felt cheated there. Ah well... we see the father, briefly, who thinks Hachiken is taking the easy way out by going to a school full of hicks so he can be the best in the class, doesn't get it. But I get it... I don't need it drilled into me like that.

And no date... yet? Still a few episodes left I suppose.

I'm loving this anime so far. I watch anime for the story and charictors so this is great. Although I can see why Japan is facing a food production crisis. They produce games and anime like this and then, give a scary disclaimer at the end that would make a kid think visiting a farm was more dangerous than visiting a "love hotel". As someone who grew up around farms and traveled all over america as an adult I can say farms are safer than city motel rooms. Lol

Well, the same is true for Samurai Flamenco, and according to the CR launch calendar, those Noitamina shows will be airing its upcoming episode next week. I'm guessing that the Winter Olympics have something to do with it.

I still think it's because there's so much new stuff on top of ongoing stuff.

Saturday looks odd as well, cause only like two shows are airing new episodes, Log Horizon and some other show I'm not watching.

Next week is the opposite, Silver Spoon and Samurai Flamenco are airing, but everything else seems to take the week off, so no Engaged to the Unidentified, Kill la Kill, Golden Time, etc. next week.

CR usually lists only the upcoming episodes for a show on their calendar, so check back in a couple of days and they should appear. I took a look on the Fuji TV schedule, and indeed the Winter Olympics are taking the place of Noitamina today.
