Ep. 8

Now, they are learning how to make the best cheese outside of Wisconsin. But then reality hits Hachiken and company that Komaba is dropping out of school due to his ranch going bankrupt. That is quite a stunner to everybody seeing how Komaba is giving up on his dreams to make ends meet for the family. It's good that Komaba is trying to be responsible like Hachiken is, but giving up his dream to help out his family isn't exactly what his friends had in mind. And this situation certainly made Ayame less of an egomaniac.

Episode 8

Inb4 everyone starts making cheese. Nice episode and drama really escalated. I also really liked this image that is symbolic of this entire show:

Go, 8ken! Force Mikage to cry against your chest! My blood sugar needs that scene to happen.

So we learn the truth about Komaba. His family's farm is going under so he's ending all of his dreams to help pay off their debt. Part of which is owed to Mikage's family, due to them being the financial partners that helped Komaba's dad expand their farm.

And in the wake of this news, everyone else starts worrying about the future for their farm and how they might have to adapt.

But all this talk about everyone just accepting the fact that they are getting massively screwed over because that is "how it is" has reached a boiling point in Hachiken, and he is PISSED now. He's doing the one thing no one else is willing to do right now, speak his true feelings on the matter. Everyone else is just bottling it up.

Gah, only 3 episodes left!

Please let there be a season 3!

That avatar reminds me

Hachiken's boiling point is like my boiling point for the kill la kill delays.

Trust me, these delays are making me wear the same expression as Gamagoori in my avatar.

So, apparently today is "Kick Admiral Uske in the Heart Day". As both of the anime I watched today decided to hurt... a lot. This season in general had been a downer. I hope that we get a more uplifting segment for next few episodes.

That how discussion was so ironic considering what happened in the episode.

Hachiken has been absolutely stellar this season, and in no episode more than this one. Seriously. The range of emotions and thoughts he had in this episode alone are more than most characters in your average anime have in an entire season. I'm just so thankful for him today, that he finally figured it out; people suffer so much and try to hide things, when what they really need is to just let it all out.

The episode rivals the best Hunter x Hunter has shown recently, and that's saying a lot.

Ep 8

I do have to wonder what Hachiken hopes to accomplish by getting involved other than to be emotional support.

I mean I like his character but so far, its still pretty one track. "Oh some one is in trouble, I feel compelled to help them because it gives purpose to my once purposeless life back in the city".

There are some things you just can't change, no matter how much you yell at it.

I worked in the AG business for three tears met many good farmers and it; not easy. The costs are expensive fertilizer, chemicals, buildings land equipment fuel costs and a big friend or foe the weather! A lot of farmers worked on leased land and if the owner wants to sell or develop thats less land. It's long hours hard work.Do you harvest early and get less yield but a better price or wait until more yield and the market could be less!Do you prep the land yourself or have somebody else do it?

So it's easy to understand what happened to Komaba. It's sad but happens a lot!
