Ever since episode one , I loved the character design and the animation, its pretty high quality , the art is beautiful . I love stories of this folklore. The characters are interesting and I really want to know more .

I thought I wrote it somewhere that episode 3 gave me an impression almost the same magical way when I watch Miyazaki's movies. MIyazaki always have flight in his movies and seeing that parlor fly and stuff. Its a wonderful feeling.

This I know I am going to collect , its already in my shopping cart lol

YES!! That is exactly what I thought when I watched #3, it was like watching Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle.

Yasaburo is just too cute! I like how he isn't your normal anime character!

I love the art and characters in this one but I haven't put it in my cart yet. Only Monogatari SS and Teekyuu2 are ordered so far but this could join it, glad to have another appealing PA Works show.

Just watched episodes 2 and 3. Definitely one of the best this season. Though, like everyone else, I can't say exactly why. It just seems like everything about it is so... good. I might even rewatch the first episode just to make sure I've got all the Benten/Friday Fellows backstory straight.

The art design... the imagination... the storytelling... it's all so good. I always look forward to watching this show. And Benten is delightful. I wonder if Benten cares as much for Yasaburou as he does for her. There's obviously something there.

Episode 4:

Hmm I wouldn't go so far as to say that this is anywhere near my fave show of the season. It does get points for the OST (which I consider the best thing about the show), concept, and characters so good show nonetheless.

This show is just excellent and such a blast to watch. I love the way they continue to keep clarity on character relations at arms length and let you learn about the family just by watching them.

And Benten is one of the most fascinating characters EVER. She is so distant, and yet so alluring at the same time. Incredible writing going on there.

I'm curious as to why you don't like the show that much. Is it just too off-beat? If you like the characters, score, and concept, then I'm guessing something's gotta be wrong with the story for you.

i feel like the flashback is starting to get repeated over and over again but i don't really mind, more details on tanuki papa----nonetheless great Akadama's drunkenness and 'fugitive' ending.

nowhereelse can you get more connected humanely with non-human characters.

while it's sorta "best show of the (...)" topic it certainly won a spot for me; slice-of-life biased. i can never wait for the next episode

After 4 episodes, it feels like their only reinforcing what we already knew from episode 1 and 2. It seems they're going the roundabout way to establish an overarching plot to tie everything together.

Probably the only characters of interest to me are Benten (who I hope we actually learn more in episode 5 because it'll talk about that Friday group she's in) and the daughter from that rival family who helped out Yasaburou's mother during the storm.
