For me to drive in the city that there is a heavy traffic light. Of course automatic is the best.
But to drive in the place that there is in the mountain, I think manual is better, consider the power and fuel.
I can drive both auto and manual transmission car. So no problem for me. Hehe Image
But if i was asked to choose, I will choose "Automatic". Easier and less tired. LOL

Manual all the way. Will never go back to automatic. Too boring and can't downshift when merging on freeways Image

Auto FTW! Image .. Fastest cars are automatic. I have a manual right now and to those that actually drive manual on this board we all know that it was fun at first but becomes a pain in the ass on the long run and I've been driving stick since i was 16 and Im tried of all that shifting.

hahahhaa yeppppp sooo true, auto tt supra> manual tt supra
lol no but it changes after you run a auto ecu on your manual car (auto is a better ecu)

uhhh what? doesnt matter if yoru left handed or not...so your saying since your left handed you have the exception of driving a rhd?
lol im right handed and ive drifted a rhd car, it works the same way, just when you start sliding you might confuse yourself like i did..LOL (ebrake placement and turnsignal/windshield wiper placement) yah but with my left hand for some reason i couldnt get the ebrakes to lock up correctly (since im right handed i guess i didnt yank as hard as i do with my left)

hmm with the manual gearbox you will be able to rev the engine higher and go faster in a single gear, in auto gearboxes its usually a preset speed/rev before it shifts, so its auto for normal driving and manual for fun Image

I was taught how to drive on a manual transmission and I've never gone to automatic. Well, unless you count the time I rented a car to visit a friend up in North Cali. But, aside from that i've always preferred manual. I think it's probably because I was raised to drive one, but it's more natural for me. Plus, an automatic almost feels like it has a mind of its own. With a manual transmission it feels like I have more control of the vehicle and in the event that I had to I could totally bust up my transmission in case I have to brake fast enough to avoid a collision. Sure, my transmission would be ruined, but I would stop! And I'd much rather have that.

Heh, I also don't like how automatic have an idle climb when in gear. For someone like me that drives manual constantly, it's weird to me and it takes me a while to adjust to the car pulling on it's own w/o me stepping on the gas pedal. In fact, it takes me a while to adjust having only two pedals instead of three.

Not to mention that if you learn manual, then you can drive any vehicle. Even, more or less, the basics of motorcyles. Hmm, then again I could be wrong. =P

For those of you saying automatics are faster, only on the drag strip. But, those are shiftable too :P

And driving a manual is easy. Saying you can't drive a manual is like saying "I can't get an A+".....
