Stick Shift i mean Manual is way better...
whats the point of having a sport car if its an automatic... note: all sport, super car racing are manual..
if its just for in town, slow driving, towing, big trucks,SUV, automatic well be better...

Automatic drivers are really stupid...
story:
One day i tried to sell my 89 FC (RX7) this stupid guy said "I'll buy your car, and what is that third pedal for?"
How Lame Can You Get!
And i didn't sold my car to him because he didn't know the third pedal was for.
Just in case if you ask what i drive now its still RX7 FD, garage most of the time.

Not many people knows the operation of a clutch...
Can you explain the operation of a torque converter?

its a bit complex how to explain the torque converter but, let say manual car uses clutch, while automatic uses torque converter.
Torque converter is exactly what it mean, its like an engine that creates pressure. And that pressure is transmitted to the wheel, making it turn. when you press on the gas( has to be on D(drive)) the engine speeds up and pumps oil into the torque converter, that will cause torque/pressure, and that torque will transmitted to the wheels. the more you press on the gas the more pressure you get. it is every complex unlike manual. but manual you have the control, automatic you don't. hopefully that helps, and if not open a book.

How about go all the way through it. The concept of a transmission is what it's name entails....the transmission of engine power to the wheels.
Its easy to say, "oh a manual uses a clutch that engages and disengages from the flywheel to safely shift gears."
All you did was go through is one tiny section.
Care to elaborate on input and output shaft? The use of planetary gears? Gear ratios within the automatic transmission? And oh, clutch fans in the transmission itself.

What you talking auto is easier to drive? It's the same, it's usually the ppl that never drove manual that say it's hard. It's not!! Ask anyone that has driven manual for a long time, their not gonna tell u manual is hard to drive. Auto is just more convenient. Manual is like second nature to me. I perfer manual cuz i have more control over my car.

I drive an automatic because that was what my dad taught me on and my fiance drives his car manually. He is suppose to teach me, but I need a BIG, OPEN area to pratice it so I don't run into anything or anyone, especially into anything that is able to leave a dent on his nice car. . . . Hahahaha.

Well for me since I like speed and power out of my vehicle. I like it Manual. Manual Transmission lets you get the most out of your gears and lets you choose when you should put it in next gear. It gives you that extra speed and push that an Automatic can't provide.

Manual.. I think it lets you use the vehicle according to how you feel at any given time. In a hurry for some reason ? Let it rev up to 5500 so you can use the power properly. Just out for a leisurely drive ? 2000 rpm and next gear... Also, if you want to go around a corner as fast as you can you can always use a downshift to break the rear grip, whereas an automatic will always keep you in third or second if the torque converter is within its parameters. So.. stick shift for good. Peace ! Image
