You can add mods to an automatic, it just won't be as responsive as it's manual brother will while running the factory shift points.

Doesn't matter to me, I have both an auto and a manual, and I alternate between the two. (Although the auto could easily crush the manual in a race)

For some people it's harder to drive stick, but I'm lazy and my reflexes are bad...so I stick to Automatic.

Still the MANUAL!!! Its sporty, easier in maintain, and if your driving uphill manual has more torque to give on the wheels and manual has advantage on straight away rather than automatic.

I LOVE automatic!! Sike! F* that! I have never, never.. I said NEVER drove an auto. My dad taught me manual on a steep ass uphill. And took my driving test with a stick. 3 pedals>2 pedals. Yep.

Currently driving a manual. I got into the whole manual thing pretty quick...
But I'm getting sick of it now... Flushing tranny fluid > Tearing apart the stupid transaxle to get to the clutch. But whatever, I'm going to say automatic due to CVT...because I hate shift shock...ruins my ride... I'm into luxery. |

EDIT: This is like comparing sh1t and chocolate...
Manual, if you're a REAL DRIVER: * increased fuel effeciency (if used right) * reduced weight, which also contributes to increased fuel efficiency * not as complex, cheaper It's relatively easy. The left pedal, the clutch pedal, disconnects the engine fron the wheels. Think about it, you want to keep the engine running. So, if you're at a stop sign and you're in gear, you MUST either hold down the clutch or shift into neutral. And when you shift, one must use the clutch pedal to prevent the gears from grinding. The middle pedal is the brake. The right pedal is the throttle. Stop being pussies and drive a manual :p |

Now the two are so near similar, that the mileage you get are virtually the same. And since the industries are looking at the automatics more, it'll be a matter of time before automatics start getting better fuel mileage. |
