like people said, it all depends.

auto, when i get older and feel lazy to step on the clutch, ill get some cars with DCT tranny,/ tiptronic

but manual is better overall, you control the car pretty much and speaking of racing, i rather drive manual
coz you can fk around, do some burnouts, drifting, 1/4 race haha

I'm going with manuals. Never bored driving a manual, better on fuel, and had more problems with automatic transmissions than manuals

Manuals for me. More fun to drive, better on gas, and fewer problems in the long run.

I would go with automatic for drag racing and cruising around town or going to work. Manual is good for those old school cars to get around the track. If you want the full experience of circuit racing, then get a transmission set up like the ones they have at the top tier in Le Mans racing. You know... the paddle shift that a lot of people hate... Heck F1 is even doing it these days..

I drive in traffic alot so manual is out! I would love to have a manual but theres too many strict rules here in CA with drag racing. I would hardly get a chance to feel the power. I'm pretty hooked on tiptronic

If all you're interested in is the fastest lap time then paddle shift autos are definitely king. However, for the most fun bombing around town and around the track I still stick to a good old manual. Nothing beats nailing those heel and toe downshifts!

I understand automatic is easy to drive, but ever since I've been driving stick I don't feel like going back. Probably when I'm old as fawk, otherwise its manual.

automatic for hassle free especially during traffic jammed i don't have to always press on the clutch it exhausted my feet. but i really like how i can easily overtake a lorry or trailer using manual .. you know how it respond very quickly compared to automatic .. drove both manual and auto but prefer auto .. maybe cause i'm a woman? =P

Manual I can feel like I have full control... automatic feels like driving a toy not a car very boring

I prefer auto, because of my commute. It gets tiring to shift constantly while in stop and go traffic. I'll save it for the weekend car.

Automatic. I feel safer in an automatic than if I drove a manual.

Manual is far superior to automatic. Better gas mileage, better acceleration, easier maintenance, more fun. Seriously, if you can't handle something as SIMPLE as shifting a manual transmission you really shouldn't be driving. Automatics are just... Lazy...
