Either is fine, My family & friends have/ has lots a different cars both auto & stick shift [5 & 6 speed]

my first car was a 2003 automatic Chevy Impala with no cruise control [boo& fuck the gas mileage on that car, but i loved it anyways ] .

My second was/is a 1993 Manual 5 speed Honda Del sol almost perfect stock except for the wheels. Fantastic little car very easy to drive even though there's no power steering, SO PISSED right now since on 5//29 [ two days ago] A fucking asshole driver hit me swerving through traffic and now it's totaled since my car took down a light pole went over the median and into opposing traffic and up another curb with the pole still on top and tapped a brick wall and AND THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT STOPto stick around either, but at least I'm okay. pedestrians and other witnesses stopped and helped me till the police/paramedics came and gave their statements.
but I would totally buy another honda del sol. saved my life, my poor car took pretty much the whole beating.now i'm going to go cry in a corner[sob....it was perfect :{ .]

I love driving a manual, I think it's a better experience, and from what I hear acceleration and overtaking are easier in a manual, although I'm not sure if that is still the case, never driven an automatic.

Plus in the UK it's pretty uncommon to find an automatic, unless you have a more luxury car, I find.

Automatic forever. I like to be able to chill out when I'm driving. The idea of constantly having to move both hands and adjust things every time I do something different does not appeal to me.

Manual, I learned on a manual and I'll die driving a manual. I find it terribly disconcerting to know that so many vehicles are going without the option for a manual.

Manuals are simpler to maintain, more efficient, more responsive and they make you a better overall driver. All new drivers should be required to learn and take their road tests on MANUAL vehicles, if they don't they should have to pay more for their insurance as a penalty for only being able to drive an automatic.

Switch to a manual while you can, you'll never look back.

want to go muddin...you need an automatic. You'll lose momentum with a manual.

Want to drive a car you get a manual. Better gas mileage, less weight and a ton of fun to drive.

I have a manual car..Mustang... yeah baby!!!

I have an auto truck...muddin chevy!!lol

You need an automatic to go mudding huh? Funny I must have missed that memo while I was getting my '97 manual F150 so covered in mud that I needed to run it through two car washes to get it clean again.

Turn in your man card...

It's super inconvenient to drive where I live due to the sheer volume of traffic. Also, I have no interest in cars and see them just as a way to get from A to B. Crucify me.

Automatic. For now, at least. Currently, I'm too nervous to risk it. It's bad enough that I'm scared of crashing while turning on windshield wipers. Trying to drive a manual now would cause me to become dangerously fearful. Once my confidence is up, I will learn. I want a Jeep, and I certainly want to use manual with that baby. Otherwise, I don't particularly give a damn about whether or not my vehicle is a stick or automatic.

just a small reminder, manual or automatic, taunts against other users are not tolerated, and will result in post removals.

I don't know how to drive automatics. I can't even turn on a hybrid-electric car.

Manual.

Don't know how to drive automatic. I think that if I was to ever try it, I would probably wreck the car and kill myself in an attempt to break / stop.
