I just played both Last Of Us and Deadpool. Both were soo dull. Why are there no games out there worth playing. I have not had fun since persona 4 golden and skyrim last year.

People often go through phases. When I was young, I remember only playing a handful of games per year and they were always great. In my older age when games are easier to get - I feel most bore me. Do you buy too many games?

You may need a break (as I do). I know someone that feels the same way I do about games currently being on the boring side and he thought Last of Us was a brilliant game. He said it was because he didn't follow articles or reviews on it so he had no expectations for it and it surprised him. Perhaps try being in the dark if you are the type that only plays highly rated games?

The bolded part, this is my philosophy on all games I really really want. I'll watch maybe a reveal trailer or two, but other than that I try to keep myself in the dark about it. I mean, why spoil the entire thing before even getting my hands on it?

I mostly do that for movies 'cuz trailers often tell you what's gonna happen...

But yeah on topic, I feel the same way. Too many games copy each other that there isn't anything exciting.

The only thing keeping me addicted is Fire Emblem Awakening on my 3DS but on consoles nada...

Play Valkyria Chronicles if you get bored of other last gen games.

You probably just need a game break. When I was about your age, I lost interest in games and didn't get it back until about 10 years later, after I graduated college and started working full-time. I realized that I enjoyed winding down the day with games, so I came back to them in a big way.

What systems do you have? Any other games you really liked recently other than Skyrim and Persona 4?

Can't say that I've ever been bored with games. I just started playing Last of Us, which is fantastic, and can't wait for Destiny.

Go old school until something your looking forward to comes out. Go grab a Dreamcast for cheap and burn the games yourself tons of fun.

I play a variety of genres so I only get bored with one at a time.
I recently got a joystick and started playing flight sims so I can broaden my horizon.

I agree with you. I had the same thing happen whenever I was around her age as well. Of course, I was 16 in 1997, so games weren't as ample as they are now as well as the internet. So I didn't have quite as many games, and didn't have a computer to look up faqs, so I spent more time questing on games and trying to find secrets.

I'll take a lot of time off here and there even when I want to play just so I won't get burned out. I learned from playing EverQuest back in the day that you need time off or you'll get burned out in a big way.

The problem here is simple. Most games just aren't as good as Persona 4 or Skyrim. That sets the bar quite high, and if you're a die hard RPG gamer... Well, the only RPG I can think of that has released since Skyrim that I really enjoyed is The Guided Fate Paradox. Which, admittedly, is a niche title that I wouldn't expect everyone to enjoy. I would say now is a good time to go back and play the older games that you may have missed. Like some people skipped Fallout New Vegas, which is a shame because it was quite good. You may also have skipped Chrono Trigger, due to having been an egg when it was released. Don't let that stop you tho, it's definitely worth it.
