On my PS3 app, I've been getting several crashes mostly from loading a episode. Rarely it will happen mid-video where the entire application backs out all the way to the main screen. So far no trouble with this issue on the xbox. However, one problem common to both is certain series load slow, or crash frequently. Most recent of this was Bodacious Space Pirates. I'm not as concerned about the app crashing as I have laptop and xbox to switch too if it hassles me too much. ut the whole series loading issues is what I am concerned about?

Can you give me a step by step of what happens? I'm getting confused reading your report because it seems like there is more than one issue.

Issue 1
Step 1: open app
step 2: etc

Alon:
So is your issue that the show just abruptly stops and takes you to the next episode?
If yes, there has been an interruption in the stream and it played what had buffered then started the next episode because it thought the current one was done.

Well beyond opening the application and selecting any series. The issues come up during load of nearly any series for PS3.

The series will do either:

a) load entirely slowly

b) crash to the homepage of the ps3(confirmed select series will do it on xbox as well)

When working. I auto-login. Then if whatever series I'm interested in at the time isn't in simulcast/updated then i go to alphabetical scroll for any series, however for a specific point use Bodacious Space Pirates, select it. Then previously mentioned problems begin. Except it can/has happened for any series on both Apps.

As a side note, connection of device to router or direct access does not reduce slow loads.

For the most part, I can watch many episodes in a row on my PS3 without any trouble, but it seems like certain shows behave differently.
Kaiji, for instance, I can watch maybe 2-3 episodes of before the memory leak issue forces me to power cycle the system.

I know this is said to be a problem in general, but I usually don't have this problem, so it can't be coincidence that now when I've decided to watch Kaiji my system feels like it's dying from all the constant crashing.

Case in point, I watched 7-8 episodes of Gargantia shortly before starting Kaiji with no problems. In conclusion, please fix Kaiji, it seems to run worse than most shows on the PS3.

So these are shows that are not in your queue but that you're just wanting to check out.

Is Bodacious Space Pirates one of the ones this has happened on or just one you used as an example?

Are you using the Right and Left buttons on the D-Pad to navigate at all or the R & L bumpers?

I want to try to reproduce this so as much info as you can give will be helpful.

This happens to me as well.

I log into App... my last crash that 'locked up' the PS3 (crash is defined for this as: controls didn't respond, had to press and hold the power button on the PS3 to turn off system then re-boot to fix) was when I looked at a video in my queue, hit 'square' to view More Options, select "Videos" so that I could re-watch an older season, then hit the right arrow to move to the right. Blank screen of crashed PS3. I can hit R2 to scroll right to have this happen... and sometimes on auto play this happens. I have 3 PS3s, all different ages, and this happens on all of them. If you want to know various shows that this has happened on, I can list them all for you (there are several...)

yes. I go to my computer to hunt up new series to watch, then use the PS3 to watch the shows on the 'big screen'.

I am having the same issues as the original poster. What's happening is this:

1) Turn on system and enter crunchyroll app.
2) Select and begin an episode.
3) Screen goes black and then relights in the XMB with Crunchyroll selected.

It almost seems like an app restart that just kicks me out. Also I've been noticing some problems with the series I'm currently watching 07-Ghost. Every couple episodes or so of constant watching, the audio and video fall out of sync, sometimes in the beginning of the episode other times in the middle. Other things going on while this takes place: the timer on the top right corner that denotes how far you are into the episode freezes and stops advancing (that's how I know they're issues) and the video starts to hitch in a sense. To fix this I end up having to restart the episode (exit out to home in the app and select the episode again) several times and sometimes even exit the app altogether. Like the original poster said, I have a computer and can easily pick up what I'm watching there, however I'd rather not as I often use it for other things while watching episodes.
