Hi I was just wondering if it would be possible to make it so that full screen settings could be maintained when autoplay is on as i love the auto play next episode feature but having to then set full screen again manually after it goes to the next episode makes is a little annoying for very short Anime's <5 minutes (Senyuu for instance). Even it opened and then maximised quickly afterwards.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work this site is much better then anything else out there for anime!!!

Make sure that the fullscreening is on, you can tell by looking at the logo, it should be the full CR logo. What show are you trying to watch, on the off chance something is broken.

I got it to fullscreen now but, the progress bar stays up the whole video is that supposed to happen? When i manual fullscreen the progress bar goes away like it should after the allotted amount of time.

Yes that is supposed to happen, flash doesn't allow you to enter full screen without user input, so this is the next best thing. It doesn't cut off any of the video though.

Yes I know I'm just very... Neat, OCD, I like things to be as clean as possible and it kind of gets in the way lol. Thanks for the info.

Why is YouTube able to play a playlist persistently in fullscreen?

Well, since YouTube doesn't use flash, flash rules don't apply. I don't remember how it worked before (it has been a while) but it was probably something along the lines of, the player would simply load the next video without ever exiting fullscreen and then just play that one. You'll notice that this is also what the html5 player does as it only loads the rest of the page data when you exit fullscreen. This isn't something you can just add on to the player after the fact, so it would require a lot of changing how the player works. I am sure it is on their to-do list since people ask for it so much, but given CR's size, it will take them a while to make these kinds of changes.

When using the Flash player, YouTube loads the next instance of video into the same frame as the current video (similar to how CR handles ads if you are free viewer).

To understand what I mean, do this:

Go to YouTube and select a video. Before you go full screen, note the URL (or even copy and paste it into notepad). Play a video or two while remaining in full screen. When you prepare to exit full screen, observe the URL displayed. If you are quick, you'll see it change from the URL for the original video you played to the one for the current video.

To implement this type of functionality, CR would no doubt have to substantially recode their player, and likely some of the queue/history functionality, as well.
