I've cried during THREE movies in my entire life.

1.) Old Yeller (I was 10 I believe)
2.) Blackhawk Down (from anger more than anything else)
3.) The Notebook (I got Notebooked and shed a tear at the end)

I would have to say yes, even though for me crying often consists of a clenched jaw, focused stare, watery eyes, and cliched single tear. That's usually the closest I'll let my self get to crying unless I feel totally comfortable, and as frustrating as it is to constantly restrain myself I still love the experience, I'm an emotional person, and I embrace that.

There really are so many good movies to list, but a lot of the ones here already are great examples. I will admit Anohana got me good with the rare "tears on both cheeks" effect, as did certain moments in Toradora, and Clannad After Story.

Sure, I've cried in a few animes and movies. Would I admit it? Yeah, but would I cry in front of my friends? Hell no.

Just a couple:

Act of Valor, holy crap that was hard.

Saving Private Ryan, the sense of patriotism coming from this movie drove me to tears more than once, especially at the beginning and the end. If I watched it now, it'd still make me cry. Still regret watching it for the first time in class in high school.

The ending of Angel Beats, was a sad cry until after the credits then it was a happy cry.

Ano Natsu de Matteru. Sad cry then confused/happy cry.

SAO, a couple of times gave me that feels in my chest and watery eyes.

Sure I've cried at movies, I'm terrible at handling death. The worst example I can think of is Marley and Me!! That stupid movie messed me up for like 30 minutes

I rarely connect to books that I read so I doubt I've cried while reading one.

All of the time.
Movies, Tv shows, and books have all made me cry.
But they all were supposed to be sad.
I don't cry while watching action movies or anything.

Oh gawd. Yes. Movies and books just make me go all waterworks on them. Especially if it's tragic romance. Let me just list a few movies and books I cried for.

1.) The Notebook
2.) The Painted Veil
3.) Atonement
4.) The Great Gatsby
5.) The Fault in Our Stars

The list is endless.

Oh and do guys cry over movies and books too? I'm curious, lol.

Man Of Steel and not because it was a beautiful movie but it was because they butchered his character into a roid rage inducing monster.
