Am I the only one that liked the OVA animation more than the actual anime animation? It's like the difference between shonen and shoujo

It's not that I want it to end. I just want him to move forward in life, and everyone else too. He's like the late bloomer child...naive and such.

This would probably do pretty well in live action imo.

as an avid follower of the manga... i'm not too happy with the anime >.>;

really don't like character growth and hewhoshallnotbenamed circumstances trivialized.

I don't know how much faith to put in it, but someone on another site said that they saw an interview with the director, series composition person (basically the script supervisor), and Seo (the mangaka) and in it they said that starting with the Tokyo Arc was insisted on by Seo and it caused a lot of trouble for series composition, because she had to go back and rework her plan to do back story using flashbacks, when she had set up her initial outline to start from the beginning. Evidently Seo believes that the Tokyo Arc is the most important part of the story and thought it would take too long to get there if they did things in chronological order.

So, for everyone who is blaming Gonzo or the director for that, it was the original writers decision. It also says that he had a huge amount of influence on the adaptation. Of course, he is a hugely successful mangaka. Not many mangaka have had two long running, successful shounen romantic comedies like Suzuka and Kimi no Iru Machi. It's one thing to have two successful action mangas or two mangas in slightly different genres that are successful, but to have two weekly mangas that both go over 150 chapters and are big sellers? That is a bit more rare.

Yeah I'm personally leaning towards the OVA animation style

So if true, he wanted the anime to get to the more dramatic moment in the manga right from the start rather than properly establish character personalities and motivations and settled for flashbacks to get it done.

So happy. Latest episode is fansubbed already :]

It's pissing me off just as much as the manga. I already am getting that feeling of anger back...

Wow, that was fast.

Anyways, that was pretty rough what you said there Haruto-kun. But ya, mediocre series. Calling it now.

I liked the way they did this episode. The flashback portion was a majorly important bit of history. It should have showed the phone call at bed time though... Maybe that will be flash-backed in another episode. Everything is set up for the painful part now...

This series isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

I agree. It's just where the anime started from. It's in the most bitter and hated part because of the circumstances.

I think the anime is one that would be a lot more intense for people who have read the manga

Now im motivated. Great episode and i also find myself interested in what will happen and what has happened between the two. I really wonder what people hate about this...if the anime started from a really dramatic part of the manga, how did the manga start?
