I must say what I've seen for a long time. The character designs in the creator's works are the greatest I've ever seen. It is just my opinion, I know, but for some reason after years of watching and reading these things - I am certain their style is my preference.

The Lag-Chuu translation has some issues in this episode, I expect. I don't know how the dialog differs from the manga, but the summer festival that Yuzuki and Haruto met at should have been when they were in 3rd grade, not when they were 3 or 4. (Akari moved to their town in 2nd grade.) Also, the last conversation they had at that festival should have indicated that there was something else that she hated, but after meeting Haruto she felt like things would be alright and his response should have been to tell her that if anything else ever bothered her, come see him and he'll fix it for her. (Which is precisely the reason she moved to Hiroshima... That and she had a lingering crush on the cute boy who used the smoothest pick-up line in the history of elementary school pick-up lines... A flower that blooms only once each year. Smooth, man! Even as a little kid he had a way with the ladies!)

A good episode, but I can't see how they are going to cover the whole story in any way shape or form unless it has at least two cours... Maybe this will be a Bleach/Naruto like romantic comedy? Hey... It could happen...

EDIT: By the way, the translator confirmed that the manga and anime were different in the conversation at the end of the 3rd grade festival flashback-within-a-flashback. But did realize they missed the 3rd grade thing. Even so, the conversation in the "present" at the end of the episode confirms the basic gist of what Haruto told her: That if she ever has a problem, come to see him and he'll fix it for her.

Man watching the manga get animated has made me realize how frustrating this story really was when I read it. I am curious as to where they end the first season because they still have a lot of manga to cover.

Good episode and now things are starting to become clear but i feel a bit dumb for not piecing why she suddenly started dating the biker dude for. Haruto did the right thing though...

I know this is late, and I already responded, but I thought of something that hadn't been addressed in your spoiler block...

As for this week's episode, I though it was well done. The part at the end is one of my favorite sections of the Tokyo Arc, since it shows that, even though he is "trying to steal Yuzuki back", he is more concerned about Kazama, in reality. Telling Yuzuki to stop looking so sad around him and smile the way she smiled when he fell in love with her is a damned brave thing to do. He is basically telling her to seduce his rival. (Though in the manga, that conversation happened after the Beef Stroganoff, not before, and also included a rather indelicate bit of repartee between Haruto and Kazama that the anime may have chosen to drop, based on how the modified it.) When Yuzuki calls to him as he is leaving, I am positive that she was about to tell him that she still loves him, but caught herself before she let it slip.
