Do you get depressed when you finish a good anime.

I was just wandering if anyone else feels empty after watching a good anime. For me it can last days or even weeks the worst offender being death note which left me feeling down for over a month.

Oh I know I definitely do. Especially if I know that there are no plans for upcoming seasons/movies. If there is something to look forward to I'm usually fine.

But the ending to Death Note didn't really leave me upset. Steins;Gate and Code Geass probably left me the emptiest afterwards (even though both endings are great).

Yeah, it's a tough pill to swallow--getting to know each characters and then after you're nice and familiar with the characters and the world, it suddenly ends.

It's not a good feeling. It's like a friendship has ended.

That's why I always prefer longer animes over shorter ones. Though the short ones can be sweet too.

I rarely get depressed by it, but i have difficulties watching any other shows for a good while. I just want to keep the feeling i got from completing a really good show.

Don't forget that the Steins;Gate movie is a sequel to the true route ;)

I tend to stop watching anime after a while when finishing a good series since it's hard to move on after a great show onto something that is probably mediocre.

I just finished watching Toradora for the first time and am in the middle of Shakugan no Shana Final, someone please help me...
Seriously though, anime leaves a hole in my heart that doesn't get filled for a while. The one that upset me most was probably Madoka, that ending was just "Noooooo not that, anything but that."

Depressed? No, not really. I might be sad, especially if it is a good show, but I rarely get depressed. If you want depressing, watch the movie "Requiem For A Dream". That messes you up. But it's rare for an anime to do the same to me.

Depending on how the ending goes : ) it pretty much depends , if some of your favorite characters died in the end , or some stories seems to be lacking to your liking , it usually depends : d

I can't say I don't, but it definitely doesn't last very long anymore. It's gotten pretty easy to "move on," so to speak. It's admittedly a lot easier for shows that I marathon, rather than shows that I simulcast. Even though they may both be the same "length," there's still the feeling that I've been watching it for months if I've been keeping up with the simulcasts.

Yes! I was sad that I finished lucky star but than I feel happy that I completed something. The sadness doesn't last long.
