I do wonder if it's ok with me. I share mine with my ex because we both used it when we lived together. We're still friends and we still hang out often, and I'm at her place almost every weekend where I catch up on my shows with my own account. I was wondering if I can share with my brother too.

It's kind of a weird thing. I mean as long as noone hacks me, I'm fine with my ex and bro using it since I have no problem paying for Crunchyroll and will continue to do so til the end of time (lol). I wonder how things like this are managed. If I'm on vacation and I take my laptop with me, I'd like to still log into my own account that I paid for without the different IP address confusing people into thinking its someone else in another household.

The technical TOS jargon says somewhere that sharing is permitted only in the same household. Accounts shouldn't be shared from multiple homes. I couldn't say how closely they actually monitor that, though...you probably shouldn't be surprised if they do happen to contact you at some point.

Taking your PC or device on vacation, etc, should be fine. I know I've done it. But if you go to another country, you probably won't see all the titles you can in the US...

Hmm I'll just play it safe and leave things as is. I love crunchy roll too much to risk losing it lol.

Besides family that generally lives under the same roof,

I have a significant other that I'd like to keep sharing Crunchyroll with, but she moved over 1000 miles away for about 6 months. Crunch staff, will you be mad at me if I share it?

Is it okay if my friend and I share the same account? But we don't live together. So will it be alright if she uses my account? the same account I'm using?

All responses I have seen in the forums stat that it is OK to share within the same household. So I would interpret that to mean not if it's a different residence.

It's kind of a pain to share an account anyway, your watch history gets mixed together and there is only one queue. There aren't separate family member profiles for watching like Netflix has.

Can people from the same household use it at the same time if they are in separate places? For example I could be watching on my laptop while at school but my sister will use it if shes home at that time? Does one cancel the other out and prevent a person from watching? Similar to how on Spotify if you're listening a new person who also has access to that account will supersede yours, preventing you from listening to the music because they are using it now?

The answer from support in the past is that they allow for account sharing within the same household.

Doing that would go against CR's TOS, which you have to agree to be able to create an account, so they could delete your account if they chose to...

You can only share an account within the same household, and giving your password to someone else is explicitly named as not being allowed. It's not secure, the other person could lock you out, and nothing would stop them from giving the password to anyone else as well. You have to enter a payment method to sign up, so even though there is enough protection where they couldn't see your full CC info, they could still use it to make charges for merchandise to your account...

Plus, you are responsible for any objectionable forum posting content, and functionally there's only one queue, and history that can be used, it's not like Netflix where you can have multiple profiles. For 23 cents a day, it really isn't worth the risk...

I think that CR should allow you to have the same system as Netflix a more than one screen account. Maybe this could be a feature of premium+ I used to share an account with a friend that used it at different times and lived close to me, and that would look like its the same person. CR really should state their account rules better in the account purchase screen (like Netflix) it would make terminating someones account much easier.

CR are missing out on a lot of cash here as I would upgrade to pr+ if this was added. Just an idea though.
