The title pretty much says it all but I'll reiterate just to fill space. What is the last anime that you gave up on after watching however many episodes, how far did you get before you stopped watching it, and why did you stop watching it?

The last Time I've done this was with an anime called Red Data Girl. The anime was pretty interesting but the progression of it was kinda slow so it didn't keep my interest and one day i just stopped watching it and never went back.

There are many reasons as to why you stopped watching an anime and I'd love to hear them. And maybe if you've been thinking you should go back someone could tell you why it is or isn't worth it.

I know myself best and what kind of animes I like to watch. I don't purposely go and start a new anime just to "give up" on it. It is the most illogical thing next to, "I'm going to give it 3 episodes before deciding."

^ As Captain Jean Luc PIcard would say and gesture, "Wtf is that shit?"

I disagree. I sorta live by that 3-5 episode rule. I don't expect to die anytime soon so I figure I got time to watch a few episodes if I have nothing better to do with my free time. I like to try anime even if it's a genre I dont usually watch. I'm hardcore in the mystery/horror/action adventure anime and manga BUT every once in a while I'll take a peek at a slice of life/ rom com just to see if it's entertaining. My favorite anime of all time is Yu Yu hakusho BUT i still enjoyed the crap outta "Kimi Ni Todeke" it was hilarious and the characters were really well developed and lovable

You can't just go through your anime life ignoring certain anime just because a website has categorized it in a genre you don't usually get in to. You gotta try diffrent stuff sometimes cause you might be surprised that the anime has more to it than you thought, or you may just discover something about yourself and what you really like.

Mine would be that new one this season, Kiniro Mosaic I think it is called or something along those lines? I could not stand it! I know it is not right to drop it after only one episode but still!

Bleach, years ago. I only caught it on TV and then my channels got all switched around and its gone, so I just don't feel like getting back into it or searching for it.

I try to watch a show all the way through and so far I've done so from hardcore hentai to cutesy magical girl shows. I've also seen cutesy magical girl hardcore tentacle hentai before... or maybe there were no tentacles involved? Well whatever, so yeah...

Regretfully D.gray-man just due to me forgetting about it and when I thought about watching the rest I found out it got cancelled, and I hate it when anime ends prematurely.
(still hoping that bleach will return, the manga is so good right now)

OMG ME TOO! except with the manga not the anime. I used to religiously keep up with d.gray man but I just sorta stopped one day. It was kind during a period when i still wasn't as into manga as I was anime so I only read a little bit. But now I read manga almost exclusively. Barely watch anime anymore

Anyway D.Gray-man is a really good manga/anime. I didnt stop because it was boring. Just didnt have the patience to keep reading back then. But its been so long that I just don't feel like going back anymore.

Most recently its Gurren Lagann. It looks decent, but I just have soooooo many shows I want to watch that I had to give it the axe. I'm sure I'll get back to it eventually. I've only ever heard good things about it.

I only drop an anime if it gets insufferably boring, i don't care how dumb it is as long as i am entertained and even so after i drop it i come back and finish it like My Little Retard...i mean Monster. Well right now im kinda crawling through Shin Sekai Yori but i wont give up on it.

Hmm, well I can't say I've every truly given up on an anime. After I put an anime on my list of started anime, I will always finish it out of principle. How ever after losing my computer awhile back I find I have never caught up on Hitman Reborn!. I also find my self at a lost as to where I was in the series, so I am a little reluctant in picking the series back up. I am sure at some point I will take the time to find a familiar episode and pick it up again. Probably much father down the road though.

I never drop a show, I tend to put them on hold for a very long time. I feel like you can't properly judge a series unless you've seen all of it. The odds of the last episode changing your mind are very unlikely, but if you've forced yourself through most of it, you might as well finish it.

Wakamote. I got through half of the second episode, and I just felt... bored. I like the characters and the OP/ED, but the show itself just puts me to sleep.

Same here. I just stopped midway 2nd episode because it was boring. Maybe if I hear good things about it in the future I'll pick it up again, but as of right know I just don't care about it.
