Eureka 7: AO

This anime was so unbelievably disappointing. I got to about episode 15 and just couldn't do it any more. I just ended up reading summaries on what happened (I know, it's lame but it was hell sitting through AO excepting things that weren't going to happen).

I really didn't start getting into anime until this year, so Eureka 7 was basically third anime that I really dived into and it blew my mind. It's just so good. So after I finished it, I saw that there's a sequel and I got SO EXCITED!

And when I watched AO, each episode was just a constant punch to the balls. All I wanted to see and know is what happened to Eureka, Renton, and the rest of the Gekkostate. But none of that happened. Nothing made sense
. I really wonder why the hell the writers thought that was a good idea. It's so stupid.

OH MY GOD!!! THE ANIME JUST PISSES ME OFF!!!! I just pretend like it never happened because it's shameful that it's even related to Eureka 7.

Log Horizon.

Awful pacing. No real incentive to care about the characters or the world they're in (except for maybe the those two kids, but that's pretty sad considering they're basically just a plot device). Way too much attention spent on making the main character seem like some super badass genius when he never really does anything special. No real character growth. No development in their relationships. Just boring and mediocre all the way up through episode 9.

Can't do it anymore. Removed from queue.

Damn, really?

I do not feel that way at all. I think it's pretty good. I love all the characters and the setting, but I do agree that it bugs me that there doesn't seem to be any major goal or sense of urgency. It kind of just seems like everyone is coasting and everyone seems way too content for being stuck in the game. They act like they've been their for years, but it's only been like a month and half at the most lol.

But I still find it very enjoyable. Also I love Akatsuki!!!

My brother.
For as long as I can remember he has been pushing my mother & I away
I gave up on him because he is the most selfish person in the world.

Honestly, she's about the only redeeming thing I could find about the show, personally. And now they've basically reduced her to popping in for 30 seconds per episode as comic relief. Just my opinion, though.

I guess if the end goal is for this series to run 400 episodes or something, then this format works. But considering it's supposed to be 25, things are going to have to pick up at breakneck speed down the stretch for me to ever consider giving it a second chance.

Well, last anime i gave up on...Kyoukai no Kanata. It was going nowhere fast, and from what i hear, it's gotten even worse. Not really a shocker to me but, i told you so lmao

And interestingly enough, Beyond the Boundary is actually my second favorite anime of the season, behind Monogatari Series Second Season. It was definitely hard for me to stay interested in at first, but it really grabbed me around episodes 3 and 4. Now I sort of feel like my entire week consists of just waiting for Wednesday and Sunday to roll around. (Though I'm also really enjoying Outbreak Company, Nagi no Asukara and Golden Time)

It does take a while for details about each character to be revealed in BtB (or KnK?), but in virtually every case it's improved my enjoyment of that character immensely. I've also heard of a lot of people giving up on it after episode 6, which was absolutely just fanservice-y filler, but it seems to be the exception to the rule and it's a bit disappointing they dropped the show right before it started really gaining momentum. It's getting pretty moody and shaping up to be a real tearjerker, but maybe that turns some people off as well? Or maybe it's just the moe tropes. Who knows.

Either way, as always it just comes down to personal taste in the end. I'm likely in the minority in disliking Log Horizon, but I feel like the storytelling, character development and relationships that keep me interested in a show just aren't there.

Rin Daughters of Mnemosyne - Basically about two immortal women solving mysteries and fighting crime...... which sounds badass and just my thing...... it's just, it slips from dark and depraved to downright masochist torture porn. I mean just look at this!!!

SAO
-I watched the first episode to see what it was about, couldn't get past episode 4. It just felt like a re-hashing of .hack// with more action and T&A
Naruto & One Piece
-I started out watching both on tv when I was a kid but once my mom got the cable service cut I grew out of it.
Madoka Magica
-This show lost me after the 2nd episode

Other than the ones listed I don't really give up on an anime. But if the show has over 100 episodes then it gets harder for me to stay interested, especially if the story isn't trying to make any form of progression. Then and only then do I stop watching.

Dude, you have GOT to go back and watch Madoka. You have to. I promise you, if you just make it to episode 11, you won't regret it.

That's what my friends and my little sister keep telling me so I guess giving it a second chance won't hurt anybody. I just have to find the time to watch it, that's the only problem.

Samurai Champloo

By all means this anime series is not bad, its just i did not find the motivation to watch the next episode. The major factor was most likely the lack of soundtracks - had nearly no background music. The series also mostly revolved around the girl Fuu instead of Mugen or Jin. Was really hoping to see more of Mugen and his character develop but unfortunately up to episode 5 none of this has happened.

Da Capo - Wanton stupidity.
GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class - Comedy that was not funny at all.

Dog and Scissors is hanging on by a thread. I thought the first episode was good, but it's just been really awful the last 2.

Sword Art Online:

The *main* reason why I was interested in it because it seemed like there was an intriguing plot and a cute love story with it...after all, it was labeled "Romance" genre.
I really liked the first episode. It was captivating. The intro music was really epic and I liked the characters and the plot.

But then...it was like...where's the romance? There was very little, and I was pretty disappointed. I didn't want to watch this because it was an action anime. I'm not really into those. :<

I guess this is my personal opinion, because on the website so many people rave about it saying it's the best thing they've ever watched. I guess my perspective is really different.
