The last one I dropped was D. Grayman, it looked like something I would like, but after wrapping the first story arc I was finding myself really bored and not even really paying attention to the TV while it was on, so I cast it aside and moved on to something else.

Most recently its Gurren Lagann. It looks decent, but I just have soooooo many shows I want to watch that I had to give it the axe. I'm sure I'll get back to it eventually. I've only ever heard good things about it.

But Gurren Lagann is the best mecha ever and maybe best anime ever. Cancel all other shows and watch it now!!!!!!!

I have been wanting to say this. ^

AllHailLelouche makes it sound like he never even gave it a shot. I wouldn't say it's THE best, 'cause that's really difficult to determine, IMO
BUT
GURREN LAGANN
definitely is ONE of THE best Mecha Anime's.

-edit-

when it comes to Mecha's in general, you just can't beat the fact that
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
is actually THE best. breaking dimensional walls and no one else throws galaxies!

It has been confirmed in the data books that the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is more than 10 million light years in height. This makes it more than one hundred times the diameter of the Milky Way Galaxy, and also made it the largest mecha seen in animation to date, until the release of the Lagann-hen movie.

Attack on Titan. I tried to watch it, get the appeal, just isn't my kind of show.

Phi-Brain. I like the concept, it seems to be pretty popular and has good reviews, but I just didn't care for the characters.

Kimi Ni Todoke. The girl was way too fragile and weak early on in the series. I just couldn't handle it. I wanted to slap her in the face, haha. Probably stopped watching after 5 episodes. Wasted my life.

Ao no Excorcist. I liked it but my boyfriend kept telling me to watch other anime so I couldn't bring myself to watch it anymore. I'm actually planning on watching it later since I can't really find anything else to watch.

Dogs and Scissors. It wasn't funny, it wasn't witty, the characters are poor, the art is bad, the animation is average.

All three of the magical girl/doll/card shows this season. None of them were worth my time, especially in the face of stuff like Sunday Without God, Railgun S and Attack on Titan.

Devil Survivor 2 just didn't really interest me. Other than that, the only other series I've ever dropped were Naruto and Bleach for obvious reasons.

When watching new anime that's I only get to see once a week though, I find it hard to drop anything. I have way too much free time so I just watch everything to the end and find out if it's worth buying or not.

Well you need to go back. You can skip all the other episodes because to be honest it's all pretty much one massive filler, BUT you have to watch the latest episode!!!!

It's the best thing since the Pain fight.

Haha alright, Lagann will be the next show I watch. TBH I only watched the first episode before I made that opinion. I'll give it another shot once I catch up with Hunter x Hunter (which is awesome).

The jumbled mess of a plot feels ADD in a way, but what makes it worse is how try hard it is at being provocative. What keeps me watching is the silver haired Lelouch and the mechas. (I can only hope the 2nd season doesn't make me keel over)

On a more serious note doe ::

Dog & Scissors

Kudos to the show for having an original concept. Other than that though, everything else about the series falls flat or is just plain bad. I don't know how else to explain it.
