So I was just wondering, am I the only person who enjoys the Sonic the Hedgehog comics by Archie Comics?
I haven't been into the comics that long, maybe a little over 2 years seeing as my first subscription was right before the release of the Issue 225 milestone
Personally I really enjoy them, the story line is fun, the artwork is great, and I actually do like all the additions made to Sonic's world
Speaking of the story, as much as I like Sonic (He was, is, and will probably remain one of my favorite video game characters) I like how they have no problem letting Sonic fail. Yes it's a children's comic but they have no problem writing it so Sonic gets beaten to a pulp and it's up to his friends to save him, I feel like that's something a lot of stories don't do (yes I know a lot do but a lot don't).

In short I really like the comics but I've found others to have less than fond things to say, so I would like to hear anyone's opinion on these comics of one of the most way past cool characters of all time

Let me tell you something, back in my youngster days when I was knee high, Sonic was the COOLEST comics out there (along with Spiderman). And I admit that I truly do miss a few of those stories, but I can remeber every panel for panel in this one short sega that last for 3 chapters, when Sonic was captured by Dr. Robotnic (noooo eggman did not exist in my time, screw that pansy)

All in all, its still a landmark for my young comic book days ^__^

Oh yes, I love sonic everything! Did you know that they have been collecting the original comics from long ago into graphic novels called sonic the hedgehog: archives ? I was collecting those, but then they mysteriously disappeared... And that was back when my parents bought books for me. Now I have start all over again with my own money. But it's worth it, I'd say.

Yeah I love the Sonic Archives, and the Sonic Selects which are the reprints of the double sized special comics, one time I had a big order off the Archie website but they accidently sent me volume one of Archives when I had ordered volume one of Select, after a quick e-mail though they fixed the mistake. If you like original prints I would search around comic book stores that carry second hand comics, I've found some good original copies at my local comic book stores
By the way love the sonic profile picture

I love the Archie Sonic comics! I first started collecting them when I was in 6th grade, back in 2006. And for the next 4 years I collected them for the most part. There was a year in which I didn't buy any so from about issues 188-199 there's a gap ^_^; Unfortunately my comic book store closed 2 years ago, so I haven't read much since. But I'd love to catch up and continue reading them again someday to see what Sonic and the rest are up to.

And I can relate to having other people not being fond of them, in real life I'm really the only person I know who likes them. But it's cool to see and hear people online talk about them

This was once and may still be MY FAVORITE COMIC BOOK SERIES OF ALL TIME!!!! Sadly I needed to pay off stuff one time so I had to sell them... This Series and the cartoon version it's based off of will always have a place in my heart! PS Princess Sally is one of my all time favorite female cartoon characters!

Ah yeah I forgot to re-subscribe one year and missed out on a lot
If you have a smart phone or other device have you considered the sonic comics app? I use it myself to find issues that I missed, I prefer hard copies but this way I can support the comic and read them for myself

For the record I am not associated with Archie Comics in any way I just really like the Sonic the Hedgehog comics

I used to get Sonic comics when I was young. I remembering loving them, but when I went back they were still good, but it's the kind of good like watching cartoons from your childhood. They are never as good as you thought they were. Don't get me wrong, they are still a fun read (from the odd ones I pick up at the local shop), but there are a lot other comics you could be reading.

On another note, one of my favorites from what I remember was Issue 52. It was a "black and white" (more like shades of grey) detective style story. Also had an awesome cover.

I have to post this

Not too long ago my girl friend and I went to a small local comic convention (I mean really small, one day, the whole thing was a dealers room, but it was a lot of fun and there were some interesting cosplays).

Some of you may have read issue #100 of the Sonic comics, well I knew from looking at the convention website that the person who did the coloring for that issue would be there, so of course I had brought my copy along to be signed

To cut a long story short, I got it signed, and the artist who had done the colors.... was the wife of a person I used to be in martial arts with, I was SO surprised

@NuclearLife, I just looked up the cover for issue #52, you're right it's awesome
