Is anyone on the site have any interest in Archeology, or are currently studying to become an Archeologist ? What makes me ask this is I am an Archeology and History major in college and Just got back from an Archeology dig in Israel. Archeological news and discussions can also be talked about in this thread :D.

Don't know much about archaeology tbh, but I've always been a huge history fiend.
Words can not describe my jealousy to it's full extent right now, good on you for getting to take part in something like this!

I am thinking about studying archeology. Matters like why people, thousands of years ago, decided to put substances in their buildings that we today use for wards against heat and radiaton and having transported those substances across very long distances, is incredibly fascinating. The question is always, how and why, when it comes to these old, impossible structures. And one very intruiging thought is: Aliens.

I can't say 100% that I'm interested in Archaeology but I am an Architecture major and do find the history of it moderately interesting.
That said, some of the history of Architecture is about guys who said "Fuck it and your conventions..." and built whatever they wanted.

Back to Archaeology, I think the hands on approach of fitting pieces of the puzzle back together is really fun. It would be cool to go on a dig just to experience it.

I am. Archaeologists are amazing. Sacrificing their bodies in dangerous for the sake of research and the diligence required to preserve artifacts as their dug up is incredible. The only sad thing is how people perceive them as "diggers" when most don't actually dig, they have workers assist in that.
