3 things:
1) "Happy Drunk" sounds like my entire Irish family at a reunion until they throw glass bottles at each other
2) I would also totally post a depression question on an anime and otaku website while drunk
3) Depression hurts: Cymbalta can help

I lied 4 things: You have really good typing skills for someone about to endure a hangover in a few hours

^Bwahaha that Cymbalta commercial XD Uh, I mean, DEPRESSION IS VERY SERIOUS YOU INSOLENT FOOL

I used to have mild depression when I was in 5th grade because of stress and now whenever I get somewhat negative and depressed I like to start drawing or sketching or just talking to someone like a friend of random unrelated topics.

I was being totally serious.. except for the Cmybalta part (I mean come on, he practically gave that one to me!) But otherwise, i was completely serious, down the remindment of my family breaking glass over each others' heads

Once or twice a day? I noticed I'm most depressed during nights when I'm in bed. Can't help that brain from listing all your failures well you're trying to sleep.

^ Read your post, saw this pic on 9gag, and just had to! It applies to me too. I usually just try to mentally knock myself out every night so I don't think the thoughts ha they have kept me up too many nights.

Also, found this one too on my search so might as well:

...I do that all the time too lol.

I force myself to be happy so no one asks me what's wrong.
If people do ask I do my best to get them to believe I'm not depressed.
I suffer in silence,,,,, and pray that someday I'll feel better.

I get depression pretty badly, everyday in fact. At least it's not as bad as it used to be, but it still sucks anyways lol. I pretty much get it every single day, not sure how, but I do and all I do to get rid of it is to cry, and cry and cry until I can't cry anymore and when I'm to tired to be depressed anymore, then it goes away lol ^^" Then I usually take a nap afterwards haha XD

I get depress most of the time but how I deal with it? I clean my room lol I'm serious though. I realized that when my mind is in chaos, my room is a reflection of it so I just clean it and I feel a little bit better then I try to think positive thoughts because positivism will bring positive things to your life: the past is the past and I will not gain anything by getting depress...I only have one life and I'll try to strive for good things. Problems will come but they will also go.

It works, I don't go to the doctor nor do I drink any pill...it's all on your mind and there's a solution for everything except death...so, like the song says "don't worry, be happy"

Hm. A tricky question, at least for me. I see a lot of people stating 'just forget/ignore it' or 'just don't get sad'. I see the reasoning behind them, but I have to say that for many people that's simply not possible in many situations. Sometimes for obvious reasons such as a major crisis in their lives or for some 'inexplicable' reason.

I pretty much was born with depression. Unipolar Depression, Chronic Depression, whatever you want to call it. Ever since I was a kid (though I hid it better when I was really young). Some reasons were understandable, some not so. My mind took me to the Dark Place we all fear frequently. Pretty much had my own house there I was there so often. Suicide was something I thought of and actually attempted many, many, many times. I've lost count to be honest. Well over 20.

Yet due to various reasons: chickening out (not that I feel bad about that now) at the last minute, being interrupted (though I always quickly hid what I was doing so no one knew), or other reasons, I never succeeded. Clearly.

I still battle depression off and on, but I have to say what helped for me was finding my wife. To this day, she is the main reason I keep going. However, everyone is different and will have different ways of coping. Before her, I simply just...'endured'.

when you're truely depressed you don't want to do anything, and if you do it isn't enjoyable.

Short term solutions: Listening to music, reading a book, hanging out close friends, taking walks at the beach/park, watching anime or a good movie.
