SAO is being dubbed by Aniplex USA, but it hasn't been released yet. It is coming though.

I know El Hazard is praised for its dub, and I overall liked Record of Lodoss War, Slayers, and Ruroni Kenshin's dubs as well. Sorry, I know those are mostly old-school.. these days I watch nearly all my anime on here. Funimation has some great talent and bring over a lot of shows, but if you watch a few of the shows in a row, you'll really start noticing who's who in their crew.

Gurren Lagann and Welcome to the NHK have two REALLY well done english dubs. The epicness of Gurren Lagann's story, utilizing amazing speeches from the characters at key moments in the storyline, really show off just how great the voice actors are in this one, and there may only be a few voices that make you cringe. Nia, whom is played by Hynden Walch, the actor that plays most princess characters over here in America, has a very clueless attitude early on which makes her voice fit really well with how innocent it sounds, but some people still hate it.

Then as I mentioned earlier there is Welcome to the NHK. NHK is filled with monologues, and fluxuating tones of serious and comedy that show the true ranges of the actors playing it. If you can't stand to watch english dubbed anime this may be a hard one to get in to, but it's worth it. It's your slightly usual Funimation dub but handled in a way that it doesn't really do anything wrong.

Also I think Sword Art Online is airing THIS saturday July 27th.

Although, they (Funimation) do add new talent to the crew every year or so. Some stay as regulars, some don't.

Welcome! For recommendations please ask in the Recommend Me an Anime thread. It's one of those "sticky" threads right up near the top of the Anime forum.

For a list of English dubs available on CR (there aren't many), see this other "sticky" thread, CR English Dubbed Anime

Sword Art Online is available in an English dub. It is (or was?) shown on Toonami, but I don't know if there's a legal stream of it anywhere. You could buy the DVD/BD though--I'm not completely up on the news, but I think this isn't out yet, but will be in August. Googling should give you more info.

ETA: In case it wasn't clear, this was locked/closed because it was a personal/help thread, and those aren't allowed in the CR forums. We do have recommendation threads, and Help threads within the Anime forum (and General, and Manga, etc) for those kinds of inquiries. Since you're new, I suggest reading through the Site & Forum Rules
