Edit:This isn't Crunchyroll's fault, it's an issue xbox is having! here's some information on it.

Original thread:(so you can get an idea of the problem)

When I attempt to sign in on the xbox, I just get this error.
"The data retrieved from the request was malformed"

I tried signing out and back in on the site to make sure my login information was correct and to see if anything was case sensitive but I was the exact same as what I used when i tried on the xbox, any body know what this problem is and how I can fix it?

Note: I've tried reinstalling app, deleting Crdata, and unlinking my xbox\account.

I'm experiencing the same thing now. Was logged in about ten minutes ago to check some of the episodes, but was booted off. (Something about the servers not responding or being available.) Then, when I tried doing the "delete the Xbox thing in "devices" and trying to log on again, I got this as mentioned above. Which means this isn't something caused by either the Xbox or my internet.

But honestly, streaming has been very poor lately during my middays (around 4 to 9pm CET+2), but somewhat better later in the evening/night. I thought things have gotten a bit better after the server upgrade/activation done earlier this year, but it's been lapsing a bit in quality lately.

I also tried deleting the app and crdata and logging in again(like maybe the app still saved my old password, so when I changed it, the app just read it as malformed), but it still gave the same error message.

i have just tried everything to log on the xbox app. but same error message. i hope they can fix this soon.

Hi, I'm having the malformed data issue on my 360 as well. I've tried all of the standard IT fixes and what I've read on the forums, is something else going on with the app?

Hey guys, got the same problem here. I came here looking for help as well because it said "the data was malformed" instead of "username and/or password was incorrect". Very strange, are they doing maintenance right now possibly?

Hey everyone, I don't think it's Crunchyroll's fault. I tried accessing the YouTube app since I couldn't get CR working and it said it isn't working either and to try back later. I think that Xbox Live itself is having some issues.

Can someone please try to sign on to another app and see if it works? If what I'm thinking is correct, the whole 360 app network is crashing or something. Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu Plus all will not load for me. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just Crunchyroll for everyone?

Seems to be the case for me aswell, the apps also take FOREVER to actually load up. Guess we'll just have to wait it out for Xbox to fix it.

Yes the apps also take forever for me. I kinda freaked when xbox said everything was up and running and deleted my profile and all my apps sadness
