Suffering or death??
What would u choose??

In my perspective, suffering will be my choice, actually its so hard n painful to live suffering, maybe coz of illness, or maybe coz of love..whatever it could be..its so painful...but i prefer that more times than choose death...perhaps ppl thinks taking their lifes off[[obviously ppl with suffering...or simply just some freaks =P]] its less painful than living with suffering...but not 4 meh..i think its better to live..even if its a painful life or anything like that...we r nobody to take our own lifes off...only God can do it...only Him...nobody else...

So..don commite suicide =P n be happy =D jk jk^^

Put ur opinions here..

Do you guys really think your responses are anything close to an extended discussion!? Seriously now, 1 sentence posts answering the questions is SHIT of an answer. You guys seem to be lacking common sense here, how the hell is a sentence extended discussion!? Really now..

Anyways death over suffering is quite a thing to think about.. I mean it all depends on the amount suffering. I'm scared of death, but I don't want to live a life where I'm in major pain 24/7... And I don't want others to do so either, but if they somehow want to live.. I'll let them. If they want to die, I'll let them. It's their life, and they can choose whether to die or not. Plus, there is no point in living if it's going to be a living hell, so just end it for that person.

if this is related to someone who is dying and is already vegtables (uhh.. i forgot the term really about these kind of patients)

it is morraly illegal if we cut off thie life supply..(my brains not really working ryt now)..

i mean, sometimes death IS better. altho, Catholics are clearly against this euthanasia.. i wud rather choose death for them...
what is the use for the body to exist if the person in the situation is already considered dead? the person is not living anymore....

its a pity for the family of the person tho..they love that person and try thier best to keep that person alive...

but in my opinion..they are just adding +50 suffering to the person..

Suffering. It makes you a stronger, better person. After all, you can't be happy unless you have sadness. Death ends your life (obviously) and can't be undone. You're going to die sometime, so you might as well live as long a life as you can and experience all you can before that happens. I think that's what life is all about.

I think the term Vegetables are from people who have seizures and are no longer able to regain conscience? Not really sure.. But yeah, back to the question. I'd choose death because suffering still leads to death. And I rather die peacefully before I start suffering than to suffer all the way to death o.o.

Hmmm if it is just suffering and nothing else. I would choose death. But in real life i would choose to live because nothing can be complete suffering, there will be some happiness or hope no matter how bad the suffering is.

I would choose death. If i chose suffering,it would just be one sad day after another, and i don't like that.when there's death, you can get away from the sadness of life, but then there's nothing after that(i think).and even if people chose suffering,it would be depressing, and pretty soon the world will turn out into a bleak world.it's like sayin "I'll do anything to live, even going so far as to be tortured." so in that sense,i again say i chose death over suffering any day.

Not sure if the OP is speaking of Emotional pain or physical pain
So I'm gonna give an anwser for both scenarios

Emotional Pain, is something I could live with, and have been my entire life, when I was a kid
I was pretty much rejected by my community in just about every since of the word, as well as my race for having albinism.
When I was 7 years old I just thought it would be better if I had just died, since I didn't have much to live for. But as I got older and obviously never took my own life, I realized that killing my self over that particular situation, would have been moronic at best. In the end, emotional suffering makes you a strong, yet callous person.

Physical pain, depends on the degree of pain, or the situation, if it's temporary pain, then killing yourself would be a bit extreme, especially since it will most likely pass over time, permanent pain however, such as a situation where I am literally a prisoner in my own body, then I'll implore my family to pull the plug, or put a slug through my skull if it's a combat situation and we're being overrun by enemy forces, then I'll just detonate a grenade when the enemy is close enough

Now that's extended

I would choose suffering. Giving up just doesn't seem right. The only way I'd choose death is if I was on one of those life support machines, and was just lying in a bed slowly wasting away. If I'm not going to wake up from my vegetable state, there's no point in having someone constant take care of me, and having family pay hospital bills in my name.

That's not necessarily true. You could be suffering emotionally. Would you still choose death even if you were in a lot of emotional pain?

I don't think anyone should ever choose death over emotional suffering. I can't imagine what level of emotional disaster it would take to make someone choose death justifiably.

I hate pain. No matter what kind it is. I'd rather die than suffer because....I'm just a wimp like that.
Suffering would eventually lead to death, so I don't see why I would need to stick around for the painful parts.

Why do it fast? Suffering all the way. Besides i like pain.
