If anything shares even the vaguest of similarities with something else, the internet will scream that it's a rip off. That being said, can something that was originally a fanfiction be a rip off? I did read the entire Twilight series. I haven't, nor do I have any intention of ever reading, the 50 Shades trilogy, but I do know that it was originally a fanfic of Twilight. As for Inuyasha, I've never read that, so I can't really comment on that.

I've read the first two 50 Shades books, and saw all the Twilight movies (thanks to my ex-wife). I understood that 50 Shades was supposedly a Twilight fanfic originally, but I can't, in any way, see how 50 Shades ripped off Twilight from my perspective. Outside of the "Girl falls for guy she really shouldn't have fallen for" thing that is, but that's hardly original to Twilight.

I fell asleep[/b] trying to read 50 Shades of Grey.
The only thing they have in common is love I thinkk?

I agree with Sweet Brown ^ , I watched a number of Inuyasha episodes and have sadly read the first Twiglit book, which was boring and badly written. That "book" series has nothing in common with Inuyasha, and 50 Shades of Grey is nothing but at the very least a soft porn book that encourages domestic violence and sex based relations, which I abhor.

Saying 50 Shades of Grey encourages domestic violence is akin to saying that the Legend of Zelda encourages sword violence.

I've both read and seen the twilight series several times. And I've read and watched most of Inuyasha. there are very little similarities. they both have a love triangle. but in Inuyasha it's more of an complex web. that is the only similarity I can think of. Of course there are always going to be books that are similar to other pieces of work, anymore one book will always have something similar. I think twilight is most like Romeo and Juliet.
