Google announce their new Chromecast today.
http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/devices/chromecast/ that allows you to stream media to any TV with HDMI from your android phone. Requesting Support for this in a future update of the Crunchyroll app.

I would love if CR would add support for this as I plan on getting one in the near future.

I think that there will be CR as one of the apps on ChromeCast, since Crunchyroll is on Google Play.

+1.

Edit: I've never used the Crunchyroll forums before, but I came here just to find this thread and +1 it. Everyone's getting in on the Chromecast game (http://gigaom.com/2013/07/29/chromecast-vimeo-redbox-instant-plex/). The platform is bound to match (if not surpass) the other big players.

I'm not really a developer, but from what I've seen, it's just a couple of slight tweaks that need to be made to the app to include this. The only hangup would be if it's not compatible with Crunchyroll's DRM.

Developer here, it shouldn't conflict with Cruncyrolls DRM and implementation has had a lot of the complexity abstracted. I would enjoy this feature being implemented. For now you can use the Chromecast chrome extension to throw the whole tab on the screen, but laptops will struggle to smoothly stream 1080p as the extension method uses local resources (native DIAL integration pulls content directly from the servers so whatever device operates as the remote doesn't experience any load)

There would be little use in streaming at above 720p, since that is currently the best that will be cast to the device:

That said, if one's PC could not handle streaming 1080p, I doubt it could handle streaming 720p while also encoding the tab at 720p and sending it over to the Chromecast.

BTW, while looking for a screen shot of the Chromecast tab options, I ran across this:

+1 For this feature. Also note that you could probably get 1080p if you did a setup similar to Netflix where its not actually streaming from the mobile device but instead creates a connection to stream directly to the Chromecast.
