Mines was very strange. I was in San Francisco not too long ago and was club hopping with a couple of my guy friends accompanied by some women they brought and as we were gong to another club(I was kinda buzzed atm) and we noticed a little girl looking down on us at a high rise condo(she was around 3-5 yrs old) I just so happen to wave at her and she reacted so happily and waved back and the others got in on it...she was soo high up that we could only identify her as being of Asian decent...lol we did this for about 3 minutes before going to our next venue. She would wave and we would wave back and atm I was thinking that she is soo cute and if she was my god-daughter that I would buy her whatever she wanted for her cuteness alone. Later I thought where were her parents?... but yea, not the best story , but what unexpected experiences have you had that atm had you at an awe?

A long time ago, Pepsi was having a summer sweepstakes competition. You could enter codes on caps to get points to spend in drawings. One point = one entry in a drawing of your choice.

So one day, I decided to go to a race track with my parents. My Mom worked there at the beer stand, so I just kind of chilled in the stands with my Dad.

After the races were over, everyone started to leave...but my mom had to stay and close up the beer stand. So, to kill time, I went up into the stands and collected a crap-ton of those bottle caps. I just took a couple of popcorn boxes to hold the caps in and just went crazy collecting those damn things. I ended up with 300-ish.

I entered all the codes online the very next day--there wasn't a daily entry limit--and I put all of my entries on the daily $40 sweepstakes. 10 winners per day in this thing.

Couple weeks later, I got THREE $40 checks in the mail. It was so badass. Now remember, I was like 13 or 14, and that's just...hitting the jackpot, right there.

A couple other nice things that have happened to me were winning $100 on a lottery scratch-off, getting a $1,000 tax refund, and I won a copy of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness through a KidsWB competition. KidsWB was airing the Pokemon anime, and during a fight between Groudon and Kyogre, I had to write down all of the moves used during their battle and enter them online for a chance to win. I did. It was awesome!

...I kinda wanna play that game again now...

It is quite amazing how a little bit of effort (bottle caps) can pay off.

Heh, no kidding. I was happy I did it.

Although I think I'd've been much happier with a check worth $11,000. xD

What was that for, anyways? .-.

The time when I applied for a scientific position. I didn't hear anything from them until 6 months later... like I totally thought they'd forgotten about me... until I saw a huge mail package in the mailbox.

And inside it was this letter of offer of employment (and policy details etc)... and of course I accepted it.

And the funny back story is that I was really upset, because during that time, I applied for the same position with two companies, one was a private company and the other a government company. I got an offer from the private company but I refused it, because I aced the interview for the government one, I thought I would get the offer from the government...

But I didn't hear anything from them... so I thought I made a huge mistake by refusing the offer from the private company, it's not until 6 months later that I heard from the government... lol...

So yeah, that really made me happy, because I want to work for the government's company... it would look good on my CV

No one believed in my culinary skills but I whipped up the best ham-guacamole sandwich ever. I think that's fucking rad. Sorry, I'll come back when something more interesting comes to mind.

My school had a thing where they would put your name in a drawing which they would draw every week and if you got your name drawn you would win some small prize (like a bag candy, or a $5 gift card to some store) but at the end of the year they would give out big prizes.

I get a perfect score on my Algebra II end-of-instruction-exam (can't help but brag since it's part of the story) and I got my name put into the drawing at the end of the year. A few days later, the intercom comes on and draws my name.

I get a PS3. It is actually the first game console that connects to a TV that I've ever owned.

It was a pretty nice day.

For two weeks in a row, I kept getting free booze and unusually high amounts of tip. Usually, people don't tip at work unless they are cab drivers I directed people to.

Also, at my local In-n-Out, I ordered just one regular cheeseburger and paid for it. When they called my number, they handed me a double-double cheeseburger meal with a chocolate shake.

During my first time clubbing in Vegas, I got a total of 5 free drinks from strangers during the night while I was inside. I got pretty drunk since I pre-gamed, too.

I've found varying amounts of money on the ground back when I was younger. Nobody, it seemed, ever bothered to look down.

Went back to Taiwan and anticipated a very boring family trip. I ended up reconnecting with my wild cousins, getting a girlfriend (within the first week there, somehow...), and drinking pretty much every day. And my family paid for all my stuff. Possibly the funnest month of my life.
