It is quite amazing how a little bit of effort (bottle caps) can pay off.

Heh, no kidding. I was happy I did it.

Although I think I'd've been much happier with a check worth $11,000. xD

What was that for, anyways? .-.

The check was an overdue lump sum from a two year period of Social Security benefits. My guardian was unable to hold a job because of a physical disability and since I was dependent on my guardian I received an allotment from those social security funds because I was a minor at the time. So essentially we lived for two years without enough money to pay for a place to live, pay utilities and other essential things. The only reason we weren't homeless or starving was because of the generosity of friends and food stamps. My after school job helped pay for any wants/needs that a teenager may want.

I only received the check after I became an adult, which I utilized to pay for a good chunk of my tuition, which I pay for myself.

It was a time that has influenced me to help other people.

Sorry if I am a Debbie Downer.

Well, when I was in Las Vegas with my Dad inside a casino watching him play a couple machines (away from machine area though). I saw a women fall to the floor (probably her heels), and so I proceed to her this women but when she looked up it was my favorite actress ever...Anne Hathaway. Seeing that smile/face was something I will never forget!

For me I would have to say when I met NetherRealm studio's producer Hector Hernandez without me noticing lol. I was at an art gallery in Pilsen, IL when a guy liked my buddys work and asked him if he could do a piece for him right there and then. My bud being cool and stuff said yes and drew Sinestro on a 6x2 piece of plastic. He loved it and said if he could take a picture with the piece and my friend. I took the picture, said our farewells and got on the train. Like 15 minutes later while still on the train my friend sitting across from me says that the guy he did the piece for was somebody well know because people where telling him on Instagram (he posted the picture on his instagram) that he was lucky to of met the guy. We later found out that it was the producer for NetherRealm studios. We just laughed so hard because we couldn't believe it and because we where clueless when we meet him. Indeed

An awesome moment for me was when I received an unexpected check for $11,043 in the mail.

Got me beat, my unexpected check was only for $2,200.

Though my more unexpected awesomeness was last month. I had been wanting to go to DexCon (a gaming convention on the east coast) but couldn't really afford it. When my friend who I help staff a TableTop room at AnimeNext with sent me an email saying that the head guy at Stronghold Games was looking for some GMs for DexCon. A week later, and a week before DexCon I was now set up to run some games for Stronghold Games and free admittance to DexCon.

Was an awesome week(4-5 days) of gaming and meeting some big people in the gaming industry.

I live here in NY so once I was riding in a bus and it was packed so I started humming Don't Stop Believing, and one kid stared singing it and before I knew it most of the people including the bus driver sung it too. I felt awesome when I got off that bus, let me tell you.

Another time was when I was on a bus and during a stop sign we were near a tour bus that was designed so all the seats were facing one way. They were staring right at us and I tried to wave at them, and all of the sudden they were all waving at me. It was pretty awesome.

Well, I met the girl that would go on to become my first kiss (and the first to ever reciprocate any romantic feelings) in a competitive Pokémon twitch stream... Yeah. (other stuff of course happened in-between, but that was the basis of us meeting)

Idk whether to say it's awesome though, since things did not go well, and it's lead to nearly a year and a half of depression, but there was a 4 hour period where I was happier than I'd ever been.

Regardless, if you'd have given me a million guesses I would've never predicted that happening.

lol... well it WAS good that the owner was there. In recent years there has been many stories about dogs seriously hurting people, so its awesome that you and your sis didn't get a bad bite from him or her

its been in my experience that if you dont spook the dog they wont attack well i might just be lucky because i remember this one time i was walking to church and this pitbull got out of his house and followed me all the way to church and my pastor was waiting outside with a friend and the dog nearly bit him so i might just have some sort of connection with animals but that still doesnt mean im going to go hang out with a cougar as my best friend scary cats those are but awesome in the same sence
