Not going to lie, the latest Sasuke arc has been quite intriguing. I'm even interested in the novels now.

More focus on Shikamaru this week.

I'm still not used to seeing Temari after the timeskip yet though.

Please re release the last battle of Shinobi wars without the chunk of filler in the middle of each episode. It really destroys the timing especially the last battle between Naruto and Sasuke. Completely ruined those episodes for me and robbed me of the feeling of resolution.

Loved the ending of Shikamaru's story.

I have no idea where else to post this...but was there any reason why they would put a huge spoiler as a notification for the newest episode?? I have only seen the first 55 episodes of Naruto and I did not know Nartuo and Hanata got together, much less get married. Would have been nice to find that out on my own, seriously doesn't much sense to me :/

To me honest mate, we have known Naruto and Hinata get married for like almost 3 years, and there was a huge uproar at the time. While I can understand being new to anime or not having watched the show yet, at this point in time you can't blame anyone for revealing a spoiler like that. No one can cater to everyone else that has never seen a show yet.

Probably has to do with their marriage probably (most likely) signals the end of Naruto Shippuden. The next series (Boruto) begins in April I believe. What better conclusion than their wedding? The Naruto series hasn't had many light/happy moments so I'm glad they are doing it.

Naruto Shippuden as a series (just without most of the filler (some of it was good)) would probably be one of the best anime you could ever find. It just surprises me how long its been at it though, I've been caught up with it for like 4-5 years now and the series started 11 years ago. I had just started middle school when Shippuden started.

I'm really curious on what will go on in Boruto, if there'll be the massive amounts of filler that Shippuden has had, and how much of a role their parents (more specifically Naruto and Sasuke) will play in this show.

I get that it's a big deal, but that's precisely why it shouldn't be spoiled to those of us who haven't gotten that far yet. A spoiler being posted for everyone to see isn't something I would have expected from one of the only few legal anime websites lol.

But everyone has known its going to happen. Would you seriously stop watching the other 445 episodes simply because you know what happens in the series finale?

It's been HEAVILY RUMORED that the Boruto anime will be starting 'in medias res', i.e., they will be jumping straight into the middle of the action. From what I've seen of the Boruto manga so far...

*** SPOILERS ***

The Konoha Village has been leveled, the Hokage Stone Face mountain destroyed, & also that possibly BOTH Naruto & Hinata were killed in a previous battle yet to be seen. It's sad, but the one sure-fire way for the protagonist of the previous series to not over-shadow the current one is to either be in hiding, a la Luke Skywalker in The Force Awakens (horrible, poorly constructed movie, btw), or be dead, most likely due to sacrificing themself to protect others from harm, a la Minato, the Fourth Hokage.

For real though, when is Karin going to get a happy ending? Kishi dumped all over her the entire series. And don't even get me started on the "ideal life" dream thing of hers.

It's been shown that the Uzumaki Clan from the Naruto series was doomed from the beginning to suffer a grim fate. Both Karin & Nagato were descendants of the Uzumaki Clan, as was Naruto. Nagato, as Pain, kept telling Naruto that he believed others had to suffer so that everyone would fear violence to the point even fearing war over peace. Naruto's own mother was selected to as to be a vessel for Kurama, not to befriend him as Naruto did, but to control & dominate him, in order to use him as a weapon. Even the nameless Uzumaki woman during the Sailing Filler Arc was chosen to be used, instead of volunteering.

In the end, Naruto broke the chain of events by CHOOSING to put himself in the way, instead of being forced, like Sasuke was forced to.

@DarthRutsula: Yeah that's pretty much self-evident, but I was trying to avoid thread-jacking.

I'll never understand what Kishi had against the Uzumaki bloodline. They where all the best characters too. Kishi should have just let her marry Sasuke, but nooo he chickened out and went with Sakura.

Almost all modern fiction is based on the work of Joseph Campbell, the Monomyth, & The Hero's Journey. The Naruto series is a direct parallel to the Star Wars mythos, in that the two main leads reflect the duality of light vs dark. The only real difference is that Naruto is able to prevent Sasuke from dying after being redeemed, unlike when Luke Skywalker had to watch his father die after redeeming him.
