Almost all modern fiction is based on the work of Joseph Campbell, the Monomyth, & The Hero's Journey. The only real difference is that Naruto is able to prevent Sasuke from dying after being redeemed, unlike when Luke Skywalker had to watch his father die after redeeming him.

This was once a show about ninjas...

Maybe this will help...

I wouldn't really compare Star Wars to Naruto. Naruto has different themes and follows different types of characters who have different tropes. I don't think I can recall any single character within the SW universe who was like "I'm going to be the grandmaster jedi!" And we don't really have much for the duality of light and dark (within the movies) because it is more like an internal struggle than with it being shared between their comrades unlike Naruto and Sasuke. And the only time Luke was actively trying to save his father was before his death, during their final confrontation, not that he probably would have prevented his death since their belief system rewards death. Naruto has been trying to save Sasuke since always.

Did you look at the link I posted? The similarities may be superficial, but like the Progenitor race from Star Trek TNG, the seeds are all over the place. Go & read the summation for The Hero's Journey that I posted, & you'll see what I'm talking about.

I have no idea where else to post this...but was there any reason why they would put a huge spoiler as a notification for the newest episode?? I have only seen the first 55 episodes of Naruto and I did not know Nartuo and Hanata got together, much less get married. Would have been nice to find that out on my own, seriously doesn't much sense to me :/

Probably has to do with their marriage probably (most likely) signals the end of Naruto Shippuden. The next series (Boruto) begins in April I believe. What better conclusion than their wedding? The Naruto series hasn't had many light/happy moments so I'm glad they are doing it.

Naruto Shippuden as a series (just without most of the filler (some of it was good)) would probably be one of the best anime you could ever find. It just surprises me how long its been at it though, I've been caught up with it for like 4-5 years now and the series started 11 years ago. I had just started middle school when Shippuden started.

I'm really curious on what will go on in Boruto, if there'll be the massive amounts of filler that Shippuden has had, and how much of a role their parents (more specifically Naruto and Sasuke) will play in this show.

I get that it's a big deal, but that's precisely why it shouldn't be spoiled to those of us who haven't gotten that far yet. A spoiler being posted for everyone to see isn't something I would have expected from one of the only few legal anime websites lol.

But everyone has known its going to happen. Would you seriously stop watching the other 445 episodes simply because you know what happens in the series finale?

That's quite a silly excuse :P. Of course I'll keep watching it, but you're also very wrong. A lot of people (such as myself) had no clue Narto even ended up with Hinata. I always thought he would end up with Sakura. As I said, I was only on episode 55 of Naruto when I saw that banner posting the spoiler. Naruto has not yet dated anyone on the episode I am on. It is a spoiler, nothing changes that fact.
Unless you think it's okay to spoil everything on every anime? If not, then they shouldn't be spoiling this

Honestly? Its not the most popular opinion I carry even among my own peers. I personally don't see the problem. So my friends know not to talk about something they don't want to be spoiled on.

And also CR has been spoiling Naruto for years now based on my own memory.

Everyone's here talking about the Hinata x Naruto wedding being spoiled, and I'm here like "why the hell is this being aired when there hasn't even been an episode where Naruto actually confesses his feelings for Hinata yet?"

You have to watch the movie Naruto The Last to see how they finally end up together.
