One of these days I truly do hope Crunchyroll will take down the claim of "Cancel online anytime", or at least add fine print saying "Except within two business days before or after the start of a billing cycle"*. Otherwise, the only thing needed for an open-and-shut class-action lawsuit** is an angry plaintiff, and they create a potential one every time they do this to someone.

* - They've known that for years, and have repeatedly publicly told people they can't cancel until that long after the start of a free trial. The same is true for the fact that their system can mark people as "Pending" that soon before the end of a billing cycle and refuse to let them cancel, which makes it inexplicable that they sometimes tell people to wait until the last day (unless they're responding in kind to what they thought was inconsiderate behavior).

** - These days class-action lawsuits rarely end with the class getting more than pennies, sometimes dimes, on the dollar. The only bright side is that in this case any halfway-competent lawyer would tell Crunchyroll to shut up and pay out as quickly as possible***, probably minimizing the lawyers' cut of the settlement.

*** - Also, to immediately take down that claim and fire the lawyer who signed off on it in the first place.

The charge was likely already pending at the time of your cancellation attempt. Fixed it for you now via your ticket.

I would like to cancel my free trial and my membership so i don't get charged.

i went to /acct/membership where i found "cancel free trial" and so i click it and it said Are you sure you want to cancel your membership renewal? if you do, your premium membership will expire on may 7, 2016.

so i click on Ok, and then it said you cannot cancel your free trial while your billing information is being validated. please try again at a later time.

do i just need to wait before canceling if so how long?

I want to cancel my premium membership and the automatic billing. I thought I had already done that but I still got billed this month. I see no available options on my account to cancel. So I can't tell if or when I canceled my membership. I definitely want to cancel the automatic renewal.

Your renewal is already canceled as of April 8th. No need to worry.

I'd like to cancel my membership but when I complete the cancellation survey and press submit, it comes up with this message;

"Thank you for your response!
You may not cancel your membership at this time.
Your membership will not be cancelled until you click below."

I'm not sure why this is happening, help would be much appreciated.

If you have a pending charge on your account, you won't be able to cancel. You should /contact customer support for all billing issues.

I need to cancel my renewal please. I've tried for 2-3 months through the page (as I very much need to cuts costs) and it hasn't happened, so I'm finally asking here on the forum.
