Just curious, as I'm a recent owner of a Wii U and Netflix and LoveFilm have their own apps out for it.

So far, we only know for certain that Crunchyroll has talked with Sony and Microsoft for their consoles...hence the fact that there's a PS3 app and a 360 app. I don't know if anything has ever happened between CR and Nintendo, because...well, there isn't a Wii app.

If anyone has heard of something happening between CR and Nintendo, please correct me, because this is just an assumption.

I'm interested in a 3DS app, would not hurt for a Wii U app even though I don't own a Wii U yet. On the other hand I am not very happy with how unstable the PS3 app is and I really don't use it anymore because of the issues with it. So I am pretty sure if they add a 3DS/Wii U app it will be in just a bad stat as PS3. I may end up canceling my CR Premium if the PS3 App does not get some major fixes done to it soon.

I have no clue how stable the Xbox 360 one is not that I care I'm never touching that M$ piece of crap. Xbox consoles are USA made btw that is why they are horrible.

Since there hasn't been a CR app on any Nintendo device (including the popular DS & 3DS), I can't help shake the feeling the stumbling block may be Nintendo itself.

The following doesn't exactly give CR burning motivation to put resources into developing an app for the platform, especially when there are others to develop and improve:

I would use a Wii-U app, but have to admit that I can use my iPod touch or my fiance's Kindle or PS3 to watch. I usually use the PS3 because I like the size of the screen to read the subtitles.

I would get an annual membership immediately if a Wii U app dropped. I love Crunchyroll but I can't justify paying for it unless I can watch it anywhere in the house on the Gamepad.

To those blaming Nintendo for the lack of an app, you might want to read up on the Nintendo Web Framework. Nintendo has a system in place to easily convert web apps, with a particular focus on streaming video, to the Wii U. They have been aggressive in encouraging this sort of thing.
