Do you? It's come as quite a shock to me but just recently realized that this is the part of my life where I no longer yearn to get older and that, perhaps, this is where I start to want to go backwards in fear of the future.

I don't want the responsibilities. I don't want the lifestyle. And I definitely don't want time to be etched into my face and body.

What do you think? Are you worried or anxious about getting older or do you just deal with it?

With that kind of issue I go by something my Mom told me: "Grow up, but don't grow old".

Basically saying that yeah your gonna have to face the world, but try to do so while keeping your more Kid and fun side intact.
Because let me tell you, when your serious all the time life tends to get quite bleak.

I do have a child-like mind, but I'm not afraid of growing older.

I'm curious about getting older, I'm curious about what philosophies I'm capable of thinking of in 10 years time or 20 years time etc.

Each segment of my life, I observed a change, adopted a new way of thinking, so I'm curious what I'm going to be thinking about when I'm 30 or 40 or 50.

Like when I was 10, I thought life was all daisies and butterflies... I was watching Pokemon at that time, I thought everyone as my friends.
When I was 15, I thought the whole world was against me.
Now that I'm nearly 25, I'm thinking about the meaning of life.

I want to know what I'll be thinking when I'm 30.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people have felt the same way. When you're young, you wish to be older and when you get older you wish to be young again.

I don't mind the journey and responsibilities life may have, but I greatly dislike growing old and I hate it more when my family (or anyone to be honest) grows older. I fear of losing them, which is another reason why I hate aging. I'm getting over it though since there is nothing we can do about it. It is better to focus on enjoying every second of life and not focus so much on age.

It's all about your attitude. Yes, growing up sucks in some ways, with the added responsibility and aging but it also gives you the opportunity to do as you please within our society's limitations.

I think Gandhi has you covered on this one:

Man falls from the pursuit of the ideal of plan living and high thinking the moment he wants to multiply his daily wants. Man’s happiness really lies in contentment.

I guess I can agree "through age comes wisdom" but acceptance is all that matters in the end. If you don't want responsibility then you dont' have to have responsibility, its just that your burden will be passed on to others. In time, you will just have to accept the fact that humans will age and your physical features will change. But hey, If you worry about the future, you'll be stuck in the past and when the future comes, you'll regret your past.

Go with the flow. Best way to live.

In some ways i want to grow up, and in others I don't.. The responsibilities frighten me to be honest. Currently I'm getting a crash course on taking on a lot of responsibilities. I don't know.. I want these responsibilities but at the same time I want to go back to not having a care in the world.

The only aspect of growing older that's really appealing is having more money, but then you have less free time to spend that money in...

You just need to find something that fits how you want to live your life. I enjoy a lot of things that I did ten years ago because it helps me to feel young. I personally wish I could work at a book store or comic shop but I wouldn't make a 10th of the money I do as an engineer. So that kind of sucks about being a responsible adult, but meh. First and foremost though is to keep close those things that you love the most and getting old won't be that bad.

Enjoy life kids and don't worry about growing up. If you do next thing you know is you'll be 40 and like "WTF just happened?"

I see alot of my friends are growing up, just taking normal jobs and just growing and changing , I feel that time has gone quite fast and people change with time . in my highschool years I was childish and young minded , as people get older the way they think changes also,
but for me im just gonna stay childish and young minded even as I grow older , the outside may change but the inside is always the same.

Well.. once you get to about the 20 year old mark, you go down one of two paths.

1) Having a positive outlook on life and growing older
2) Like me, you realize life sucks.. But you push on anyway.

Yep, especially when you have fuck all idea about what you want to do for the rest of your life.

I liked not having to worry about anything. I'm so fucking indecisive that I'm making worse than they already are.

Then there's all the physical aging thrown in with that.

It'd be so much easier if things were straight forward but they aren't.
