Which genre of Electronic music is your flavor?
I used to be into dubstep but I've kind of backed off of it and am now into more melody driven songs.

I dislike generic new dubstep.
I prefer stuff like Emika - Drop the Other

I also DO like Lights...who mixes in the generic stuff with songs like "Flux and Flow" and "Fourth Dimension"
:)

I guess I'd prefer the Dubstep, or the non-repetitive Electronica/Ambient.
I also prefer female vocals in all of them (Y)

I don't mind Electronica that incorporates a little dub into it as long as its not over the top. Yea I dislike any electronic music that's overly repetitive as well.

Glitch Mob and Massive Attack I enjoy. Deadmau5 has a few I like. I found this one called Found Atlas: The Orange Peel, a mix I really enjoyed too.

Industrial, if it counts.

But I'm not well versed in the genre, so I can't really discern the differences between most of the other sub-categories just by hearing it. Dubstep I can kinda tell, but it's overdone. The rest is very hit and miss; some of it is cool, some of it is incredibly dull.

I'm not familiar with the other four, only "Electronica", so I picked that one.

Here are some examples of Electronic songs that I like:

- Black Cherry by Goldfrapp
- Dull flames of Desire by Bjork
- Birds of Prey by Christina Aguilera
- Little Dreamer by Christina Aguilera
- Fireflies by Owl City
- Midnight City by M83

It depends on my mood really.

Vocal/Uplifting Trance (i.e. Suncatcher, Temple One) - I prefer this style most often, as it can take me to another world on a moment's notice.
Hard Dance/Techno - I listen to this when I feel evil for whatever reason. lol

Hardstyle (and even more extreme, Gabber) - I very, VERY rarely listen to these as I normally can't stand it

They are all awesome! My favorite EDM artist is Savant who mixes them all. check it out: https://soundcloud.com/aleksander-vinter/scatman-au5-savant-fractal-and

But you gotta love some good trance too. Ashley Wallbridge is dope for that.
