YES.

I exercise almost every day. At first, I just lazed around the house, but my family got so worried about my health that they pulled an "intervention" on me and made an ultimatum--lose weight or my rent would DOUBLE! (Rent is calculated like this: $100 base plus weight. So, say I weighed 160 pounds, $100 plus $160 is $260 in rent. I would not be able to afford double that because my job's pay is absolutely pathetic.) So, I went from 186 down to my current 150 over a year and a half period. The "ultimate goal" is between 135-140. Of course, if I go above 140, I have to may my parents $50 per pound OVER 135 pounds. So, yeah--I HAVE to exercise. In my neighborhood there's a lot of steep hills so I run/walk around my neighborhood and a local park. My route is 3 miles. If I'm worried about my weigh in--I do TWO exercise sessions a day. I should reach the ultimate goal in another year or less. Maintaining it will be a challenge.

As strange as it may sound, I'd rather exercise around my neighborhood than join a gym. I mean, sometimes I see a pleasant surprise like a flock of wild turkeys or deer. It's not likely I'd see wildlife in a GYM. Anyway, yes, I have no choice so I do exercise on a regular basis.

I have to admit--I feel more energetic than I used to and it is nice being praised by people like my dentist. ("OH! You look GREAT! Something's different about you!!") And I LOVE the fact that I'm surprising my family with how dedicated I am at exercising. No one seriously thought I'd be this successful.

Nope I don't exercise frequently, but when I do, I go all out and do 30 push ups ( it''s a lot for me-.-) and a bunch of random things I remember watching from exercise videos.
Then I wake up the next day with an aching body T_T

Used to be a football player in Professional Club so intense workout for 3 hours for 6 days plus on Sunday a match. But due to 14 hours job right now, got little to no time for exercise. Still got a healthy body but out of shape from some areas like Obliques, lower abdomen, quadriceps and Calf .I like to have 6 pack abs (although I still got 4 packs) but under these circumstances it's a no no for me.

If you can call typing on a keyboard and clicking a mouse exercise then yes,I do more than enough exercise to last me a lifetime.

But if you mean actually getting up,running around, jumping up and down and as a result of that sweating buckets on a daily basis, then no.

I train in Judo 3 times a week, though I'm going to start a more stringent work out regime either today or Monday (Too much stuff going on this weekend). I'm not in the weight class for tournaments that I want to be in, so I need to adjust my diet and increase my workout routine to get my goal. Need to drop 30-ish pounds by the first weekend in October. Go me!

I have the strength I need, but I really need to cut the fat off. XD

Anyone else here compete or train in BJJ or judo and have any workouts they would want to exchange with me?

I did up to about a year ago when my life kinda went haywire on me. In that time I gained almost, if not, 40 lbs . I really liked working out. I felt better about myself, slept better, and it helped a lot with managing my depression. However, now that my life has returned to level, I'm having a real hard time getting back to it........

No. I walk every so often. I want to start up again, though - when I do, it'll probably be something major like P90X.

I used to do a 5K after work every night... felt pretty good. I kind of got out of the habit for a while and gained a LOT of weight...

After watching about half the guys my age have heart attacks where I used to work, I got back into running....

Lately I had a groin pull so I've been having to walk instead. I did over 7 miles yesterday. I usually try to get 10K steps a day or more at work and at least 3 or 4 miles after work three or four times a week. I also try to keep up my steps on the weekend, (10K+)

All the people I know who got more sedentary after they turned 45 or 50 ended up with bigger problems than high blood pressure... Mostly involving not being able to do much because they are too sick... or usually, in too much pain.
Two guys I know can't work any more because of arthritis. They have to take drugs to dull the pain. They're only 57. I don't want to be like that.
The business I'm in is notorious for having guys retire and being dead within one year... I knew five friends that had that happen.

I typically bike 15-17 miles a day on my stationary bike at home.
