Someone knows shit about how much that is for start-up memory.

And yet my point was that it does not matter in the least for any half decent computer these days...

I wonder if half the posters here realize he's only using it for school work.

To topic starter:

Should I lock because you got your laptop choices narrowed down to one?

I think it's more of a question of how many posters actually read his first post... they don't even know his friggin' budget, and they're suggesting laptops well over $1000... :sweatingbullets:

I think the thread can stay to talk about suggested laptops? Just a suggestion.

whatever you get, don't get a hp. my cousin's broke down a little after a year. i also know a couple other people from college who had hp laptops break down on them as well. i have hp myself and i've encountered some difficulties but surprisingly it's still going.

don't even try buying HP or Dell--their Customer service people are the worst of the worst. If you have the money, buy a MAC. The level of difficulty in hacking into a Mac was proven when no hacker could hack into it in a convention In Vancouver BC. The cs is in the USA.
If you want something cheaper, buy the Lenovo series from IBM. tech support is outstanding.
I have had/currently have all 4 laptops that I mentioned, and never cared much for desktops. You will need mobility, that's why you will eventually [buy a latpop.
