Well, I don't know who the 2 who aren't Yuno are but I generally like a character who has been through something.

yeah I get more attached to broken characters because it makes the person want to see the character go though more and become better in the end, like with Naruto ^_^

Yeah, Kurapika fits the bill perfectly.

He's very broken... and determined to get his revenge... the scene in episode 148... where he stares at the eyeballs gave me chills

It depends on how ''broken'' , but usually yes. If they really had a tragic past for example.

By "broken", I mean a character who... didn't live through a conventional upbringing... or maybe was affected by a terrible incident later in life...

Examples: Yuno from Mirai Nikki
Sasuke from Naruto
Squall from FF8

Yes, especially when they're "broken" in ways I can relate to. Some of my favorites are Sai and Gaara from Naruto, Teito from 07-Ghost, and Kira from Bleach.

I like characters that have a sense of real-life struggle about them. Even if they can do insane stuff like blow up planets or whatever. Although not all characters are made equal for me. I think Vegeta is one of those characters that always got to me. Watched his father get murdered, got brainwashed and bullied as a child, and even forced to kill. He wasn't born a monster, but he became one over time and he struggled for most of his life with that. He's probably the most real-life Dragonball Z character when you think about it. With the exception of being forced to kill and stuff, I know a few people who are like that.

Itachi is also one of those broken characters that get to me. Having to choose between his family and his job and his country. Man, he had it rough. Yet it's probably for those same reasons that I can't stand Sasuke.

Broken characters aren't made equal for me, but some of them definitely hit close to home. I won't say I get attached to them, but I sometimes find them more realistic than the idealistic hero types. Although I do get attached to the hero types, too.
