Ok I tried to ignore this... but you guys need to stop translation Yuri as Julie. Yuri does not translate to Julie. Yuri is Yuri... there is no English form of that Russian name to my knowledge. Yulia is the Russian form of Julie, which they are not saying in the show.

Thank you.

As you can see at other sources:

http://myanimelist.net/character/63975/Julie_Sakuma_Dmitriyevich
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday_Without_God#Main_characters
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=15105

All list it as Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich. I take it that this is the official english translation and not just at a translator's whim.

In addition to what beardfist, noted, Anime News Network's spotlight article also lists the name as Julie:
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/anime-spotlight/2013/summer/sunday-without-god

This is notable because as I understand it, the information for these articles (including the English title) comes from the publisher in Japan.

I checked that link u provided, and it seems some of the info is incorrect. In the description for Hampnie, it says that he's looking for a girl named "Alpha" when it's actually "Hana". They also used the wrong pic for Yuto - they put Scar-san's pic instead for some reason, lol. Makes u wonder if u can trust the accuracy of this info!

Now if u look at the Official Japanese site (at the character section): http://kami-nai.com/character/
They have the officially official Kana names for the characters. They have ユリー which seems to be getting translated at MAL, ANN and everywhere else as Julie.

The actual romaji for the 3 Kana's are:

ユ = "yu"
リ = "ri"
ー = stresses preceding vowel so "i"

So, I guess as beardfist said, I guess someone decided to give it an English translation of Julie, and everyone else just followed suit.

There are multiple different ways ユリー can be spelled in English, including Yuri, Uri, Julie, and July (German pronunciation). I'd be amazed if CR didn't confirm the spellings with the Japanese licensor, so I'm pretty sure this is the correct spelling. Remember, katakana words can have more than one correct spelling in English. ^_^
