I actually love Code Geass, and most of the Gundam series, but at the moment my favorite "Mecha" anime is Valvrave the Liberator. I know that this anime has gotten some bad feedback after one of the certain episodes... But beside that one specific episode that I actually really enjoyed, it was a great show and I'm eagerly awaiting the second season!

But if I were to have an all time favorite, it'd probably be... Code Geass, without a doubt. It was a clever series with a lot of memorable characters. I just loved the ending, it left a taste for more. Sadly, the only thing Code Geass related was that Nunnally in Wonderland spin-off...

Gurren Lagann is very good, although I didn't really like the ending. To be honest although I enjoy watching Mech anime I can't say that I have ever watched a Mech series that I was ever completely satisfied with, I guess I would say that Gurren Lagann came the closest though. Evangelion and Code Geass were also good and I am fond of Eureka Seven.

You know I completely forgot about Eureka Seven. I loved that series to death, I think I've actually watched it more than Code Geass! I should probably rewatch it soon! :3

I usually don't watch to many mech anime anymore. I just like the character's from Gurren Lagann more then the story and plot. (Yoko is the shitz my friends)

I rather enjoyed Star Driver and GunxSword though.

I only watched Gurren Lagann when it was on Adult Swim some few years back, so I never experienced the show in a complete format, and unfortunately Netflix made it DVD only. So I have no means to watch it unless I want to go on a illegal streaming site. But you just seem to be going through the "Oh my god! This is the best anime ever!" phase because you just finished it. Come time you'll probably say another anime is greater. :3

If you're going to watch Eureka Seven I would have to recommend reading the manga instead as the sequel Eureka 7: AO is the continuation of the manga. But basically (Thank you Wikipedia.)

The series focuses on Renton Thurston, the fourteen-year-old son of Adrock Thurston, a military researcher who died saving the world. He lives what he considers a boring life with his grandfather in a boring town. He loves lifting, a sport similar to surfing but with trapar, a substance abundant throughout the air, as the medium. He dreams of joining the renegade group Gekkostate, led by his idol Holland, a legendary lifter.

It's a really great story! I recommend giving it a shot, but again if you want to watch AO read the manga, but if you don't like reading, the anime is really well put together!
