In my honest opinion that whole fiasco should have never happened to begin with. I was far from satisfied with the reveal. Especially how the clip was conveniently shown after Eren shows up as a Great Ape I mean titan.

Anyhow I believe that should have been saved for the end not the dead beginning. When I saw Eren eaten and digested I wanted him to stay dead. Or at least come out as shit in some comedy relief. Not appear as a buff manservice titan kicking ass.

I'm a huge fan of shounen but this specific moment was awful.

XD Thanks

And yeah, I completely agree. I said the reveal was satisfying, which it was.. until I thought about it. So about 10 minutes after it ended. I'm not really sure I like where the show is going, which is why I haven't been keeping up with it. I was really hoping he would've died, and the main cast would've been switched, but what can you do. :/

I agree with a lot of the points you are making, One Piece does have this more "cartoony" feel to it compared to most animes, but I feel that helps to individualise the large cast of characters One Piece has though, so I can see why they would go with it.
For me, One Piece is quite inconsistent with its arcs in terms of quality. The barratie arc with Sanji and Zeff was one of the most memorable moments in anime for me. I remember seeing it 8 or so years ago on TV however for one reason or another they stopped showing One Piece on TV so I pretty much went 8 years with out watching One Piece ( the last episode I saw was somewhere in the Alabasta arc I believe) But recently I got back into it and watched over 400 episodes of it or so in a couple of months. There were points where I was bored out of my mind and I was wondering why Im still watching it (like in the thriller bark arc) but there were also some absolutely amazing moments in it as well that reminded me why I indeed love shounen battle mangas like Naruto, Bleach and One Piece and that was during the impel down and marineford arcs. That said I am currently on episode 534 and I do not really like the Fishman Island arc that much at all, the pacing is too slow, I do hope it picks up. Overall I do have some mixed feelings towards One Piece and why it is pretty much dominating as the number one anime and manga right now at the moment. I do not see it to be that much different from Bleach or Naruto so I cannot exactly understand why it got a lot more ridiculously popular than them. But overall with One Piece I do think that the amount of good scenes do outweigh the terribly boring, slow paced ones and it does honestly feel like an adventure and it is one of my favourite animes.

Dislikes One Piece because of supposed bullshit moments during fights

Has an avi of Attack On Titan where the main character gets eaten and somehow turns into a titan because of his "will to survive"

A big ******* K for you sir

Thanks for the spoiler I've been holding off on AOT this whole time and you've just ruined part of it because your too lazy to use the spoiler tags.

Am I the only one that enjoyed Thriller Bark? I thought the arc was not only hilarious, but Brook was a great addition to the cast. Also KISHISHISHISHI! :p

As for Fishman Island... yeah... that may be the worst arc yet. I didn't watch it because the manga took too long to end. I couldn't imagine how it would be in anime where they continually add stuff.... Although, Punk Hazard is after that... it is SO worth the wait. XD

As for why it does so much better than Bleach and naruto... That has to do with the care put into the series and teh actual sense of adventure. Bleach started to collapse the moment Soul Society ended. How a series caps at the second arc and goes down from there is beyond me... Naruto has some inconsistent writing problems and the fact that Naruto is barely the main point of the series any more. (Also the 4th Ninja War can go screw off...) One Piece has a much more stable consistency and is all around more fun to enjoy. heck, while Fishman Island isn't that good at all, it is still better than most of Bleach's arcs, and whatever Naruto has been the last few years. At least to me. :X

Watch this arc from episode 460-489 then tell me how epic it gets. Skypiea was my least favorite arc and the start is really slow.

This is a topic that came up with my university friends who watch only the big three and can't understand the popularity of the series. Yes the anime feels dragged out but that's because its consistently been about 50 chapters behind the manga, and theres no point stopping temporarily as one piece is huge in japan. That would be like HBO stopping making Game of Thrones, because George R.R. Martin takes 5 years to right a new book in the series. They can't its too popular so what did they do with season 3 which is based on book 3, they split the book in half between season 3 this year and season 4 next year.

I can accept that One Piece is not for everyone, but some of the excuses i hear from friends to not check it out is ridiculous.Mainly the length. If you watch a show you shouldn't watch it to catch up. You should watch it for the enjoyment factor you get out of it. I'm doing the same with Berserk and vagabond, Heck i only started the Hajime no Ippo manga last month from where it left off in new challenger. Thats a manga series with over 1000 chapters, and i'm not gonna catch up i'm gonna savor it and take my time.

Sawyer7mage a very prominent youtuber when it comes to naruto/onepiece has decided to tackle this issue with two videos

1) He elabroates to his fans whoa are mostly naruto fans why he prefers one piece.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcpmbbnqcSo

2) He addresses the haters who claims that one pieces success does not = quality, and how he believes its not true.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuRRs2wHY5s

In conclusion, just like the other big three you don't get the dragging feeling in the manga, as it stays quick paced and is easy to keep up with, i would recommend you switch to that. I read the manga through the year and blast throught the anime during summer, as i am going to do this sunday . At the end of the day its up to you, but if you do drop it drop it after the Whitebeard arc -that shit was awesome.

Tried OP anime and manga and it bores me too. Plus it doesn't help the fact that I've never like characters that can extend their body parts. Not in Anime/Manga or American Cartoons/comics that also includes Piccolo lol. Time is precious to me and I don't want to keep reading until something excites me. I prefer Manga like Nodame now anyways.

I don't blame anyone for quitting long running shows like naruto, one piece, bleach, fairy tail or heck even detective conan. It's too long and short anime's tend to be better.

Wait you guys consider Thriller Bark a bad arc? To each his/her own I guess but, dropping the anime because it takes long to catch up is IMO a stupid reason. I wish the anime had about a few hunderd more episodes because I miss watching 15+ episodes everyday after work/school. I mean why would you wanna wait each week for one episode anyway?

That you find One Piece boring can't be helped though.
I couldn't stand Fairy tail and dropped it in ten episodes. Though I can't understand what's so stupid about a devil fruit giving you powers but you're giving a pass for Attack on the Titan's Eren getting titan powers from a injection? Both situations include something going inside their body and them getting the after effects so swap the injection with his father forcing him to eat some exotic fruit and it seems the exact same to me.

nah with naruto and bleach you really don't come across arcs that make you so bored you want to smash your computer screen with your keyboard (unless it's filler)

That is bullshit. Naruto and Bleach I can not even stand watching its crap 100% of the time, at least one Piece is better than those two crappy fads.
