Anime why I am, the way I am, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I really like anime. It is hard being an adult who watched anime as a kid and grew up to still watching it. Not many adults watch anime in my circle of personal friends. It is the same for my gaming. I grew up in a generation that had gaming and anime access at it's bloom. It did rule my life as a teen but I learned to put a balance of doses of anime in my life. After the internet busted in to the general public it was more easier for me to connect with others with my hobby, regardless of their age, we had a common bond of anime. That being said I do watch anime on my spare time. I enjoy discussing it with people who understand and feel the same way as I do.

I am still an amateur in the anime world. Being have only watched it for a year now, but it takes up all of my time. Like since beginning this year I have been spending a lot more time watching anime than playing video games or doing anything else. And I will be spending a huge amount of my paychecks once I start my job here in a few weeks.

Lately it's just background noise, I turn it on and do something else.. which is also why I am no longer paying.

it's a poorly written slice-of-life anime with flat characters, boring story, and a predictable ending.

anime is a very important part of my life, as it helped me get through some of my depression, and is the reason why I am getting into computer animation so I can make the cut scenes in video games.

I wouldn't call it "important" at the moment. There have been many different shows that have changed my perspectives and outlooks on the world, but not even remotely close to the way books have changed me. I definitely spend more time watching anime at the moment, but I could definitely go without anime pretty easily. I would be genuinely depressed if I couldn't read books anymore. With that said, the data say that I spend more time on anime, and WAY more money on it, so perhaps I just don't understand how important it is to me, but I'm nonetheless pretty sure reading is my most treasured hobby right now.

It's changed my life, I don't think I would be the same person without it. I've also made a lot of connections/friends through anime, even though I am sort of a closet otaku. I love having conversations about anime. My favorite fictional characters are from anime and manga. Anime makes me cry, laugh, and experience all kinds of emotions. It's also a distraction from real life, but usually still has thought-provoking ideas.

Anime means a lot to me, sometimes it can be more than just a hobby. I feel that anime can connect with you on a more personal basis than some other forms of entertainment. Anime for me is a way to release a lot of built of tension during the day because there isn't anything like coming home and spending a few hours watching anime, and there are some days where I stay up way loner than I should, kinda like now. But the characters can really grow on you and sometimes you can feel their pain and their feelings.
