I do secretly keep the 3D glasses from cine mark ( O u O ) for 3D effect at home.

I wear nerdy glasses when I don't wear contacts...

But I don't like wearing it it makes me feel 10x uglier >:C

Wish I had the option, but I can only choose glasses, contacts, or effective blindness. Glasses are cheaper and more comfortable for people that work long hours. Contacts look better, but cost more and get uncomfortable after a while. Effective blindness is cheap, comfortable, and good-looking... but it seems a bit impractical.

As to whether I'd wear fake glasses if I had good vision -- I feel like I already wear too many functionless articles of clothing, having something on my face is still a bit of a bother even after getting accustomed to it. So I'd guess I wouldn't be too into it. Glasses or not, I'll find out if you're stupid once you open your mouth. I've found that it's a bit more reliable that way.

In elementary school, I would sometimes bring a pair of my American Girl doll's glasses and put them on just to prove to people I could fit them on my head (those things are TINY). Damn I felt so special. I'm a different kind of special now...kidding...I think, sometimes I wonder.

I have real glasses now and I gotta say they are great eye protectors. I'm pretty clumsy and I haven't lost an eye since!

I don't see a problem with wearing glasses for cosmetic purposes. It's just another part of your wardrobe, IMO. Sort of like an accessory, such as a hairband or a bracelet or a ribbon.

It is sort of girly, I suppose, but who cares about that nowadays? If you're not secure enough in your masculinity to wear a pair of glasses (and the only difference between them and sunglasses are the lenses), that's a problem. Especially if you then try to look down on people who are. One of my friends has even given me a few pairs of these glasses (3 are sort of rectangle-lensed with thin black frames, 1 is the standard round 'hipster' sort). She thinks I look better with the glasses. Or at least more amusing. I do wear the rectangular ones out on occasion, but I don't think the usual hipster glasses look right on me. My sunglasses have rectangular lenses and are frameless or thin-framed, so I'm accustomed to wearing that shape.

They sort of obstruct my vision since I'm too lazy to clean them, and I habitually remove them and/or keep adjusting them if I am wearing them. I don't wear them much but there's nothing really inherently wrong with them.

Thank you. I feel the same way! And believe it or not...some people who have perfect vision are envious of those who wear REAL glasses since a pair of glasses are an accessory and it can make you look appealing. Albeit, i do not wear my hipster glasses on a regular basis...just for fun since my friends think i look different, in a good way, when i wear them :)

It's all the same, really. 'Fake' glasses isn't even the right term since they are functional in every way other than the fact that the lens is designed to simply be see-through rather than sight-altering. I would not want to have worse vision just to wear glasses, haha. You should be able to wear them however you wish. And if nobody knew the lenses did nothing and saw you wearing them, they'd just assume that you need them for vision.

Well, since I have worn glasses since second grade, I haven't the need to wear fake ones. Before my eyesight got bad, I really wanted to wear glasses for whatever reason, but now I prefer contacts over anything else just because glasses are a major pain.

Sure have! I actually find the whole "hipster" look cute. I love wearing glasses, even though I barely wear my prescribed glasses I do enjoy the "hipster" glasses, and sunglasses.

Since I actually have glasses, no. And they're just regular, boring ones. Even when I wear contacts, I don't wear the hipster glasses. That's just silly.

I wear normal prescription glasses.

If you wanted to wear glasses for some fashion reasons, that's one thing, but isn't it sad if you have to pretend to be smart by wearing fake glasses?

Sadder still is there are people who believe glasses = smart.

Depends on whether you would class these as 'hipster'. Either way I think they're good. They draw a lot of attention to me.
